Downtowner Restaurant

Found this little gem right before driving through town. What a quaint little hometown resturant! Food was very delicious. Has sandwiches, burgers, and mest and 3 kind of place. Onion rings are homemade and delicious!! Big burgers are delicious!! Sweet tea was down right delicious!

Enjoyed a veggie lunch. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was great. Country cooking and nothing tasted like canned food.

Step back in time and enjoy a small town diner. Try out one of the daily specials. I had turkey and gravy with collard greens, candied yams, and green salad. It also included cranberry sauce and cornbread muffins. The greens were cooked like my mom's and were delicious. It's kind of hidden but easy to find right across the street from the public library.

If you haven’t tried the Downtowner Restaurant, or maybe just haven’t visited in a while, you are really missing out. Great food and great service.

Tired of fast food & drive-thru’s & found this lovely little spot by accident today… Food was wonderful && staff was friendly. We had a much needed home cooked type meal for reasonable price!!

Great meat and three daily specials. I had the hamburger steak and it was very good. Service was good and food came out fast.

Well we rolled in 30 minutes before they closed, expecting bad attitudes we found the complete opposite. Staff was friendly and courteous. I had the special this day and the salmon cocets were awesone! Priced well reasonable I would recommend this place. Remember they are only open for breakfast and lunch. They close at 2pm.

Down home cooking. Good food and reasonable prices. Not much to look at but well worth the stop.

The food was good, but they had children running through the restaurant. This could have caused them or customers serious injuries 😕

Today I had the fried chicken, I requested wings only so I had to wait while they cooked but they were worth the wait, they were tender and juicy. My sides were Mac and cheese and okra with tomatoes, I was not disappointed.

I was surprised to get a meal with one meat and three veggies with tea and corn bread included. All for under $9.95! Very hospitable and welcoming to our large group !

Very Good Biscuit & Gray. Smooth Coffee. Great Atmosphere. Great Staff & Customers. Yup Yup we will be coming buy next visit.

Can't say enough about the food, atmosphere, personnel and service. Everything about this place is beyond excellent!

Basic and solid small town eatery. Good burgers, outstanding fries and a ridiculously large order of onion rings when available. Good prices, quick service. Would go back frequently if we lived in the area.

Great meat 'n three with generous portions. Great service, but only open till 2PM.

This was the first place my son and I dined after arriving in Selma as hurricane evacuees out of Florida (from Irma). It was a welcoming experience. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the locals seem nice. Thank you for a nice meal.

Food was awesome!! They put alot on your plate. Service was good. Even the owner came out and spoke to us. Great place to eat. 💖💖
