I've been coming here long enough now that I truly owe it a review. Folks, these are simply the best trails you'll find in Alabama. Trust me, I've done them all. No other area in the state that i can think of offers the same variety and diversity in scenery and different ecosystems. There are plenty of places to refuel on water with springs and creek crossings. There are wonderful Lookout spots along the Pearly Gates and the Stairway to Heaven. Great camp spots along the routes, usually within every mile or two.

The Skyway loop from Adam's Gap is a challenging 18ish mile, 8 hour grind! Plenty of varying terrain with some awesome climbs. Deserving of the "Hard" classification.

Sadly motorcycles are not allowed on the Pinhoti trail, Although AL hwy 281 is a good ride!

Plenty of parking. Trails can be as challenging as you want them to be. Beautiful country.
