I have taken cattle there a couple of times . Great cuts, good kill rate. Some people do not understand that the butcher is not responsible
For the hanging weight of the cow.If you are “
Light” on your processed meat .. that means the steer or cow was light to begin with. Stuff happens . Maybe the cow was finished out and ready for slaughter , but not a lot of actual meat on it . More fat . The people running this business are very honest . Buy from and take your cattle there for processing with confidence!

The name doesn’t truly say what awesome Amish/Mennonite baked goods, dry goods, grocery items, homemade potato salad, their brisket dip (creamy dip with brisket and a slight spicy seasoning - totally worth the trip!) great on crackers or bagels; cheeses of every type, all types of ready to cook meats, brats, steaks, ribs, chicken some pre-cooked some not - fun trip from Port Austin/Port Crescent State Park (about 45 min) - Highly Recommend!

Bought a couple of 1 1/2 inch thick Beef Fillets from this place for New Years dinner. And they were very tender and tasted Great. This is the second or third time buying them from OutBack and will be back for more.

A great selection of beef, pork, sausages, homemade goods, and other goods. They have an assortment of flavored honey and soup mixes in a jar. Many more great finds are available. Definitely worth the stop.

I'm so glad we discovered this place since moving to the thumb. They've got a wonderful selection of meats for your grilling or cooking needs. We come here a few times a month to grab some steaks or the special occasion of getting a prime rib. My family also loves the brats they have because it's not just a cheddar brat, my husband loves the gyro brats and I personally love their mushroom Swiss brat. I've also placed special orders a few times and they've never disappointed! We've never tried it but they also have a selection of cheeses that are beyond your typical cheddar at the front counter. Decent prices on seafood too, we've gotten some lobster tails on occasion.

Just stopped in today for the first time. I'll be back 😁

Quick turnaround on butchering my son's deer. Nice packaging job. Also great selection of frozen meats. Very good selection of bratwurst, all are delicious.

I picked up a half side of beef today, I'm thoroughly impressed!
meat is cellophane wrapped & butcher paper wrapped as well... It's more than just a butcher shop they have cheese, syrups and spices as well..
Very helpful with loading, the place is immaculate and has a very nice curb appeal!

This place has the greatest meats and variety of items. The staff is awesome and Jerold and Joanna are phenomenal. Well worth the drive

I had my first experience with Outback processing two month’s ago, awesome quality of meat. Flavor that I have been missing from store bought meat.prices are fair. I’m a customer of there’s for now on. Next purchase I will add some pork and chicken !

So my neighbor said his son-in-law buys all his meat here and me, looking for those special little mom and pop type stores and wanting to buy locally (I urge all of us to avoid the big national stores when feasible) I gave it a look.

So....way out on the west side of Germania Road btwn Arglye and Cass City Road sits the new but rustic looking Outback meat and retail grocery store. It started life as a local deer processing joint but now apparently processes beef, pork, etc. Not a very big place but meat, cheese, seafood ( I saw crab legs, swordfish, lobster) and other odds and ends were plentiful. My wife got all excited about purple popcorn.

I can't speak to quality yet as I haven't cooked any meat but I bought some 5 year extra sharp cheddar by Jim which was a bit pricey but outstanding flavor.

This is a great destination in the middle of nowhere. Someday when you want to get out of Caro, Cass City, Sandusky, or New York...just go for a ride. You'll find something to buy I'm sure. It's fun shopping.

For you meat eaters....I noted steaks and chops were cut at different thickness. Porterhouse in 1 inch or 1.5 inch as an example and that's a nice touch unavailable at Walmart, Meijers, or even Country View Foods which is a bit further South on Germania. I know lots of us like Country View and drive a long way to shop there. Add Outback to your adventure as long as you're over there. SUPPORT YOUR NEIGHBORS. It's more important now than ever before to keep our money close to home.

my wife and I really enjoy all the different brats they make. Have tried them all and all are excellent. We haven't got anything from here that we didn't enjoy. Love the BACON !!

Great place, good selection of cheese, meats, honey, and some other local goodies. Just went to pick an order up for my mom, but I am going to start making it a regular stop myself to get some items in bulk.

This is the third quarter beef that we've bought from Outback, we're pleased with it hoping this one is as good as the other two. I live 47 miles away but it's worth the drive.

Awesome service, never had a complaint 1,when I get my deer done there, or any meats and cheeses we've gotten from them

Where to begin!?! Prices? Quality? Service!? All wonderful. Free coffee in front of store. Great ambiance too. Must stop if nearby!
