Great food, and the presentation is beautiful. The hostess and staff are charming. The patio has a wonderful view of the river, and it's spectacular when the sun sets over the mountain. Especially after or during a rain storm!

Yummy food, a gorgeous location, and a perfect little town! The tuna noodles are SO GOOD.

This is probably the best restaurant in this area of New York. Each entree is a treat but don't sleep on the Fried Green Tomatoes. The view of the river is also a breathtaking way to eat your meal.

Fantastic dinner as part of our honeymoon! Delicious mushroom ravoli for me, meatloaf for him. We brought home cheesecake and it was delightfully creamy.

Not much to look at out front, but inside it's very nice and the seating out on the back porch overlooks the river and some rapids. The food is excellent.

This is a treasure. An amazing dining experience with a stunning view. The food was amazing and reasonable. The staff is incredible, kind, helpful and attentive. The food once again is amazing. I would recommend it for everyone or anyone. Do yourself the favor take the trip out of the way and enjoy. Due to covid they are seating outside but reservations are required. The staff all wore masks, and seating was spaced to respect social distancing. Everytime I have been here it was and has been a joy.

Contrary to a review left by a woman named Katey, we were a party of 11 and are city people born and raised. The Up River was beyond our expectations. Between all of us we pretty much sampled everything on their menu including their desserts. The Chef and co-owner, Andy, pleasantly came out to see how all 3 of our tables were doing and our server Megan was darling! Food was fresh and delicious!!!! Service was 👌. As for Betsy the Hostess, she suggested a walk to view the waterfall as we were early for our reservation and that by far was the highlight of our trip.
To appreciate mother nature, make sure you're seated on the back deck.
If we were able to give 10 stars we would!!! Looking forward to our return in late August

Really, really amazing food. Honestly some of the best I've ever had, period. The back deck has a spectacular view of the Hudson and Rockwell falls. Granted, I grew up in Lake Luzerne so I'll admit to being a little nostalgic about their location but you can't beat it. Friendly staff and prompt service. I wish I still lived there so I could be a regular, but I'll be sure to come back whenever I make the trip back home.

Fantastic dinner and ambiance. Would of love to been able to sit outside. My husband had the duck and I had the mushroom ravioli. Both something we would never order but absolutely loved our meals. Would recommend visiting if in the area.

The food is great. From burgers to scallops you can find something in your price range. The view is perfect. How do I say this. Owners brought a slice of elegance but stayed down to earth to Luzerne. It is definitely up scale for the area. You are made to feel like one if the family. Love it. It is a must try.

The Up River Cafe has a beautiful deck overlooking the Hudson River. The sounds of the water are wonderful as the waterfall drops just past it. The hostess was prompt, the server very attentive, the price was right and the food was delicious! They were easily able to accommodate my companion who is in a scooter.

The place is just by the river with an amazing view. Has seating arrangement outdoor. Service is awesome. Food was good comapred to other local American restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet meal in a peaceful natural area, this is the right place for you! :)
