Delphos Canal Museum

Holy....!! This place is HUGE! There is SO much to see and experience, that a little review won't do it justice! Just trust me that this is A MUST SEE destination! There's a little something for everyone's palate, and you'll need about 2 hours to really go through the place. It is handicap accessible, so go and enjoy this spectacular history museum!

What a great experience. The volunteers here really care about their town and are so knowledgeable. Super friendly. A beautifully well kept museum. So much to see. Will definitely stop here on our road trip back.

We had a great visit! Very detailed displays. I loved learning about the Miami Erie canal. We are from California and were in the area visiting family, who crazy as it sounds, had never been to the museum. Everyone who lives here should visit. The docents were very helpful educated about everything in the museum.

3 floors of interesting items. Was there for just under 3 hours. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed very much.

This is such a great place to visit if you enjoy learning about local history and ancestry. They have a wealth of information, artifacts, books, photo albums, and displays. If you are into local history, plan for multiple visits in order to view everything.

We took a field trip to the Canal Museum in Delphos, Ohio. This was a surprising gem! In addition to TONS of interesting exhibits, they had many Christmas trees-each decorated to represent different Christmas movies. The museum is free! and the guide knew many interesting facts and stories about the items. Worth the trip! But leave a donation-they are doing great work there!

This museum is the true treasure of Delphos! There is something for every history lover here!

Very good museum in Delphos, Ohio.It just gets better and better every time we visit. WWII exhibit is very nice. Great place for a break from traveling.

We really enjoyed it the first thing we did was the old pedal piano for the kids, great local history museum. My children loved it as did myself and my wife.

I lived in St. Marys, Ohio for 34 years from 1978 to 2012. My wife and I drove from St. Marys to Delphos and visited the beautiful Canal Museum. We enjoyed the historical artifacts and interesting information at the museum. We also enjoyed lunch at the Lock 16 canal restaurant in Delphos. My wife and I have visited several sections of the Miami-Erie canal from Piqua to Fort Loramie to New Bremen to St. Marys to Spencerville to Delphos. We truly enjoyed the historical museum in Delphos. We recommend that you visit it at least once in your lifetime.

Such a CLASS ACT here at Delphos Canal Museum! Items are very well-displayed and the all-volunteer staff is always friendly. We find something new and exciting at every visit. Delphos is truly blessed with this treasure trove located in downtown. ❤

Something Delphos should be very proud of - great history teller and most intersting displays. You should take the time - to go back in time and find things you never knew existed in our area. Great day trip!

I'm amazed at how much historical items have been collected at the museum. It's a place I enjoy visiting every chance I get. I see something new every time I go.

It was great and friendly it was very clean alot of things to see 3floor's of to see the displays are neatly done you could spend days there I loved it!
