Atkinson Park

Large park in Cascade, Montana. My kids needed a change of scenery from the Missouri River and they got dizzy on the merry go round, climbed the old jungle gym and had fun on the teeter totter. The pool is closed this summer, but we would have swam!! Don't forget there are lots of mosquitoes! I also liked the history of Bob Atkinson.

This is a great little park in the town of Cascade, Mont. It has tennis courts, a play area for children and a pool. There is also free camping in the park with about six or so spots. They even have a dump station and water. For July 4 they do a big celebration with food, drinks, music and fireworks which were great. The park is named after J. Robert Atkinson, a Montana cowboy.

Beautiful park

The campsites are small, except for one. Even the one big enough for a larger camper has trees in the way. However, it's free so I'm not complaining. There's a nice playground, tennis court, bball court, and lots of picnic tables here, so it's nice.
