The Cave

We are locals and have enjoyed going to the cave for many years. Recently we visited Marx Brothers Cafe in Anchorage which is touted as one of the best restaurants in Anchorage. After eating at the Cave tonight our experience there was far superior to anything we had at Marx Brother's. The calamari was delicious with a nice light breading and tangy sauce. Both of us had the grilled Ribeye which was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. My wife had the mashed potatoes and I chose french fries and both were cooked and seasoned perfectly as well. Zucchini was the vegetable served with our dinner and if you've never cared for them before, you will definitely appreciate and not be disappointed. They had a nice seasoned flavor and cooked but not mushy. Rodney is doing an excellent job in the kitchen and our waitress Kim didn't let us down either, friendly and providing great service in the front of the house. Whether you live here or are just passing through stop in and enjoy what they have to offer, it's the best place in town!

The cave is the best sit down restaurant in Delta Junction. Good prices on beer and cocktails. I mean where else in Alaska can you get craft beer for $5.25 a pint? Food is always good. I always sit at the bar and have great service. Johnny is normally the bartender when I go and he is awesome. This place is great!

Amazing service, the dishes served were delicious, fresh, hot and more portions than expected. Very well portioned meals. Definitely get a bang for your buck. The seating is also very cozy and roomy. Perfect place to hang out for the night.

I came here on a trip and have never ever been treated better by Kim. She went above and beyond in every way and I hope her employers know what a gem they have! I've worked in the restaurant business as a manager and I'm telling you this girl deserves a raise! She sure knows her stuff and made the experience 10000x worth coming in. The Ribeye steak is to die for. Definitely will be coming back again because of Kim's service and the great food.

Great food but even better people!! We were running behind from a hike and were tracking to arrive right after the kitchen closed, so we called ahead and asked if we could place a group order and eat it there.

Jacob was THE BEST. We couldn’t have been more relieved to hear his “I gotchu” as we ordered a mix of burgers and wings. When we got there, the service was phenomenal and the food was also fantastic! The burgers were medium-well and were the perfect end to our night. We were too hungry to take pictures but there wasn’t a crumb in sight. Shout out to Jacob for coming through for our hungry group!

My family and I ate at the Cave and we were pleasantly surprised that the meal, service, and atmosphere were the best we had since being here in Alaska this go-round!
When we walked in, it was about 45 mins to close and no one grumbled. We got to choose our own seat too.
We had bunches of questions for our waitress, Kim, and she answered them all without a hitch.
We had a couple Old Fashioned (made to perfection), beer, Northern Lights, pretzels and beer cheese, Halibut Florentine, New York Strip steak, Chicken Fettuccine, Beer Battered Shrimp, mashed taters, baked tater, broccoli, and cole slaw. Every single item was epically delicious. I mean, perfection.

Our waitress was awesome! She anticipated our needs before we had a chance to ask. Gave me a bowl of extra cherries for my drink, extra ranch for the salad, extra butter for our taters. I mean this girl was on it. And such a sweetheart.

There was not one single thing wrong or questionable about our experience here. We are thrilled with our experience at The Cave!

Great food for a fair price. I had a steak which was perfectly cooked to order. Also the sides were great. The staff was very friendly and they offer a large collection of different draft beers.

Delicious food here. I highly recommend getting a meal here if you are looking for a place to eat out in Delta Junction. Service was good, and the prices are very reasonable for a small Alaskan town.

Good place to drink and eat in the small delta junction town. Weekly specials tend to be very good, and they have a good list of beers and wines for a reasonable price.

2 years ago I thought l found this place during a work event, definitely had to stop in again for the great Burgers and beer

Food was perfectly cooked to my liking in a cave like atmosphere. Pleasantly surprised to find this gem in delta junction. Steak medium rare, halibut flaky and delicious and the zucchini still had some firmness that was refreshing like summer.

Unique and very secluded, basically the last pit stop for beer and a private local thc pen stick, was awesome for the trip. Just ask the bar tender and workers for any of your needs, they all go above and beyond the needs of their patrons. Lovely

I ordered the 16oz ribeye , it was every bit of 16oz and more, cooked perfectly and with excellent flavor. By far the best steak I've had in Alaska while visiting.

I love the atmosphere real cozy like wait staff are amazing!

We had a seared Ahi tuna steak and a New York stripe steak which both were exceptional. You don't need plenty of restaurants in town, if you have one really good!
Happy we found this place and I wonder why there aren't more (5 stars) reviews.

This was a warm & cozy stop after visiting the glacier. We had a party of 10 and they accommodated us just fine. I wish we would've been spending the night in Delta so we could've partied with the locals and enjoyed the live DJ more, but we could only stay for a meal and a few beers before heading back to Fairbanks. Service and food was awesome. I would definitely recommend!.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Alaska. The food is always really good and very reasonably priced (cheaper than most places in Fairbanks). Great beer and wine selection too. Nice atmosphere along with good service. Being isolated they could get away with way less quality but they continue to impress. Definitely a favorite stop and we make it a point to eat here whenever we are in Delta

FANTASTIC!!! We were driving through town and it was getting late so we decided to stop for dinner since the next spot would probably be hours away we read the reviews online of all the places in town and this one has the best reviews so we gave it a chance. We were amazingly impressed. The Chicken fettuccine mounded the plate, was flavorful and had plenty of sauce. The Herb Crusted Halibut was the best meal I have had in Alaska and the fish and chips were some of the best we’ve had.
