Big Shoal Falls

Had a great time and it was beautiful. Fun for the grandkids and easy to get to. A fun place for a picnic. Perfect for cooling off on a hot day.

We also liked the swimming hole across the road.

Well worth the drive in, very cool water fall with flat rocks and lots of water to walk in. The drive in was very scenic also and quiet. Good place to spend some time and enjoy nature!

We were thinking about how many people come to visit this area but miss wonderful, off the beaten path attractions like this iswaterfall. Sadly, some less mature people carry their trash all around, leaving their messes behind them. Certainly, that's the case here: Beer cans laying around. Thankfully, there weren't a lot of them and they marred the beauty only a little. It's quite a drive (8 or more miles) on a dirt road but don't fret. It's a pretty good quality road.

I could see whiling away a couple of real nice hours here. We went on a Friday. No one was there. It might very well be busier on the weekend. And, that may be when all the drinking and cans are showing up.

In life, try to restore the Earth. Leave it clean. Then we can give it clean to our children. It really is a treasure.

Oh, it's July 2021. The water was pretty cool. Still, I wouldn't put my head under water. Mr. Amoeba might be hanging out. You don't want him to say hi to you.

Be prepared to do some country dirt roadin' while traveling to this spot! Beautiful scenery, put me in chill mode 💙💯

Easy to find and you can drive through the water with a truck. Lots atvs there as well

Easy access to waterfalls and beautiful scenery.

I have gone to this place since I was very little. Now I go with friends and family on the ridin trails and stop here for lunch or just to wade around in the water. Perfect for all ages. Locals call this place shoal creek, so if you want to sound like you know what you are talking about, call it shoal creek. Great place to go and great 4-wheelin trails to get you there.

Nice place. The road is a bit rough but nice. Not too awesome to see people burning their tires in the falls.

Big Shoal falls is a great place to stop at while riding ohv or horse back. Its the perfect spot to play in the water and cool off.

One of Arkansas best kept secrets. It was just unbelievable. Not very much trash and decent roads. All around beautiful
