Springfield Distillery

My husband and I have been going to Springfield Distillery for about three years after finding it while out riding our motorcycles. This place is awesome. The people are awesome. The drinks are awesome. The atmosphere is awesome.

My husband and I discovered this location because of Groupon. They are located in Springfield, VA. A very expensive property with lots of trees and you can see cows in the distance. The bar is located in a cabin. There are only a couple of tables inside. 2 bathrooms with sliding barn doors are inside as well. There are a number of picnic tables outside. There is also a covered area with tables and the day we visited live music. In cooler weather they have a couple of raise fire pits that are a nice place to warm up. We had a tour which included 2 drink glasses. The tour was very informative. We learned about their process as well as about how the family came to start their distillery. It is very much a family operation. They show a lot of attention to detail and take a lot of pride in their product and making sure it is quality. Grandma is even present to tell you how great her grandson is doing. We did a tasting. The cost is $20 for tasting 3 And a large cocktail or 4 tastings and a small cocktail. We really enjoyed the Bottled and bond bourbon, 1847. It was aged 4 years and was very smooth with a burn. We also liked a couple of the flavored whiskeys. This was the first time we had ever had a mint whiskey. I really like mint mojitos and this will make a great base for that. We also liked the blackberry whiskey.

Do not pass this place up. Every where we went we were told to try the distillery and they did not disappoint.

The grounds are perfect for outdoor games and hanging out with friends or family. Or you can relax on one of the many seats on the wrap around porch. They also rent out cabins and a home if you prefer to extend your stay here.

Highly recommend the 1842 and the peach. Her best seller is the blackberry which taste great in the lemonade drink they sell. They also have great limited releases to keep you coming back for new great experiences.

My wife and I were stuck in South Boston for a day and came across the Springfield Distillery while looking for something to do. If you like whiskey, which I'll assume you do if you're reading this, then this place is worth checking out!

They have a variety of flavored whiskeys, which you can sample for free and a rum, which I sadly didn't get to try. They have a list of unique mixed drinks, of which we tried several and of those we tried, all were excellent. They have a great outdoor area with tons of seating, as well as area to wander and play games. It is in the country, so it's a nice peaceful place to sit and have a drink.

I'm glad we found this place and in sure we would be regulars of we were local.

Went to a private baby shower. This is a pretty venue. The outdoor area is beautiful.

Great atmosphere. The owners are extremely nice. We enjoyed the whiskey and tour.

Always a fun time! Beautiful grounds, impressive wood workmanship on the outbuildings as well as the cabin that serves as the bar. Every time we go out, Kelly has come up with new cocktails (that we must try!)! Dog friendly, warm, and hospitable.

Whiskey!! Wonderful find in Halifax County!!
Beautiful countryside and bursting with charm.
The owner was supreme and while we were choosing what to purchase, she offered us samples. From blackberry, to peach, to honey.... they are all crafted magnificently. For our visit, we settled on whiskey + coffee. I love how she asked what level of sweetness we preferred and then brought out our favorite creamer to add in the coffee. The coffee + cream + whipped topping was perfect to sit outside on a Fall evening and sip.
After packaging our to go bottles, we asked a few more questions to the distiller himself and he shared that they make about 2 batches a month,sometimes 3.
Even though it wasn't a tour, his sharing helped us understand the process and how lucky we were to find this gem.

If you are EVER in the vicinity, this is a must see. The grounds are beautiful. The tasting room is an exquisite log cabin. The whiskeys and rum are all worthy of a taste. Our hostess made delectable drinks that were a treat for the palate. I highly recommend. No trip of mine will be complete unless I stop by this establishment! Yes it is a bit off the beaten path but worth the extra mileage.

Omg saw the reviews I am a huge bourbon collector for 15 yrs. I had to try this based on reviews and oh my God this is some of the best bourbon in the Port caskvsmall batch 1842 and honey bourbon. There are not enough great ajdjutives to say about the owners and son Mason. Guys thank you for showing the world that passion and greatness and quality combined makes Springfield Disterrlery.

I have not had the pleasure of a visit- YET. BUT, while watching an episode of Barnwood Builders, saw this establishment. When the guy said during vivid, they supplied long haul truckers with hand sanitizer, well, I knew I have to get there to meet these folks. Thank you for thinking of truckers during these trying times. We will see you in the summer of 2022!

Kelly is fantastic. Great drinks and hospitality. The location is beautiful. Ideal place to do some day drinking with friends. Will definitely come back.

A beautiful venue for an outdoor wedding and reception. The owner of the establishment, personally greeted us and took us through the venue. I encourage anyone to visit the distillery and enjoy an adult beverage!
