Lime Tree Bay Resort

Amazing , great pool, beach area well equipped with chairs, hammocks, sunbeds and umbrellas. Bar and grill for eating/drinking. Great area for snorkeling, saw loads of different fish and water is not deep. They offered free use of bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of free parking. Would highly recommend this resort although it is NOT IN ISLAMORADA But Long Key and 20 minutes from anywhere. Amazing sunset and on our last evening a pod of dolphins swam just a few metres from us all

We have been coming to the Keys for long weekends for several years and have stayed in several different places and this is one of my favorites. We stayed in a room that had a waterfront view which was perfect for watching the sunset. Room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Small but nice pool area. The resort does not have a bar but there is restaurant and bar right next door and a very easy walk (shared parking lot). The only suggestion is that the resort should replace some of the paddleboards as several were missing their fins. I hope to go back soon!

We have been staying at Lime Tree Bay Resort for over 20 years. At each visit we see new improvements. On this last visit we were fortunate to stay in room 152. This is in the three story building that has 12 rooms. Ours had covered parking. All have a large private balcony that looks due west. This give a fabulous sunset view. There are only a few other places in the Keys that can match the view.

My friends and I stayed at the Lime Tree Bay Resort for 2 nights. After a slight hiccup there, Stephanie and the staff exponentially went above and beyond to accommodate my friends and me! The townhouse was immaculately clean with great attention to detail! I will now only stay there while recommending it to anyone I know who is looking to stay in that area!

I spent a week at the resort last week and had an extraordinary
experience! Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the views were spectacular! Being in the middle of the Keys meant that we had easy access to visit Key West for the day as well. Definitely a return destination for me and I will happily refer friends. Thanks so much!

This was our 3rd trip to Limetree and we enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is always friendly and the location is fantastic. No, they don't have the white sand beaches but they are right on the Gulf and the sunsets are second to none. Lots around the area to visit and with a restaurant on-site, it's a slam dunk!

On our way to Key West and on the fly, sort of stumbled into this hotel via Google. We stayed one night and would have liked to stay more but our itinerary did not permit. Our room was very nice and the balcony overlooking the bay made for a spectacular sunset.
Kayaks available as part of the resort fee so this was great for a first time experience.

Dinner and drinks at The Florida Boy bar and grill attached to the hotel had good food and drinks, reasonably priced, in a fun atmosphere.

This place is amazing! This is my 4th stay and sad that it's my last day here. We have been here for 3 days and had great experiences! Clean rooms, great service, beautiful views. The staff is amazing we are super happy and satisfied! We will definitely come back next year.

lime tree bay was the perfect place for a calm getaway! the dock had the perfect sunset view and hammocks all around are great to relax. pool was clean and the whole outside area was pretty and well kept. Staff was all helpful and rooms were clean. i requested extra pillows and received them. I would return again

Cannot say enough good things about Line Tree Bay Resort! If you're looking for a peaceful vacation with gorgeous beach views (perfect for sunsets) on a smaller middle key that's close to all the activities your heart desires (snorkeling, hiking, Marathon & Islamorada are close, and it's 1.5hrs from key west), this is the place for you. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. Room was really nice. The bar/restaurant attached has wonderful food & drinks too, with live music on Friday evenings. And we really loved that kayaks/paddle boards were available to use (free) & the yoga session offered on the beach twice a week was wonderful. Get a room facing the beach, you won't regret it a single second!

Whenever I book a trip to a new place, I make sure to read the _lowest_ rated review first, so I can get an idea of what doesn't work. In the case of Lime Tree Bay Resort, though, I'm flummoxed, because I found it to be lovely through and through... the common thread is that it feels like the things people didn't like are all from customers who didn't actually do any research on the property, so I'll try and lay it out for you now so you can know what you're getting.

Come here if:
* You like a chill place to stay
* You want to be treated like an old friend, not a prince or princess
* You appreciate the tranquility of the best sunset in the Keys
* You don't mind (and in fact prefer) being away from things, and needing to drive down to Marathon or Islamorada for other restaurants etc.

Don't come if:
* You haven't read the website, which is very clear on where the different rooms are located, and what the resort provides
* You want a lot of nightlife right on your doorstep
* The fairly quiet noise from US1 will bother you - yes, you can hear it, but that's true for many places in the keys. Tune it out. I slept like a baby here.
* You want something "posh" - that's not the goal here, I think.
* You can't cross a road without adult supervision. It's US1... just wait a bit for a big gap, they ARE there, it just requires patience. Anyways, most of the rooms are on the main side by the beach. We never had to cross it once. The website clearly shows room locations too.

Seriously, I loved Lime Tree Bay. I found the staff friendly (big shout out to Anja), the views second to NONE, and location relaxing. Even though we were there on Memorial Day weekend when it was absolutely full there was always plenty of space, kayaks available, and somewhere to sit and chill out. That's the thing about it: it's a place to relax, it's not constant stimulation. It's also right next door to a place that rents boats, btw, if you do run out of ways to relax.

If you want a bit more space, the Waterfront Premium Kings have private balconies and PLENTY of space in the room. I spent a lot of time just enjoying the view from there. Oh, and our room had the most comfortable bed in a hotel, ever!

I'll definitely be returning. I arrived loaded down by stress, and left feeling light as a feather. Thanks much to the team!

After searching for a place to stay in the keys I came across Lime Tree Bay Resort. I decided to call the resort directly and had the pleasure to of speaking Andrea at the front desk. After explaining what I was looking for she put me in the perfect room with the most amazing view. The rooms were clean and quiet. I will definitely be back. Thank you Andrea you are the best. We were so pleasantly surprised to find this little gem! The rooms were immaculate, well supplied and large. The beach and amenities were some of the best I have ever seen. The beautiful white sand was steps from our door and, although we were not able to use it, the pool looked very inviting. We loved the restaurant snuggled within the resort.

A wonderful place to stay. The most friendly staff we've ever encountered. Staying on the west side of Hwy 1 gives you ocean view. A very comfortable bed, one of the best I've encountered in hotels and resorts. Beautiful sunsets, a three minute drive to channel 5 to see the sunrise

Researched resorts in the Keys for weeks before deciding to call lime tree bay and I was glad I did, talked Andrea and explained what I was looking for and she booked me the perfect room! This place is older but very well kept and in a great spot.. Room was clean and everything worked as it should. A added bonus is the bar and grill right next door. I may have just found my new winter vacation spot!

Lime Tree Resort is an amazing and calm vacation spot. A treasure found with beautiful views and inviting activities.The sunsets are breathtaking! Not to be missed. Cleanliness is found everywhere. We enjoyed our very pretty and spacious Waterfront room.
Staff is very attent. I look forward to visiting Lime Tree again.

My husband and I recently stayed here. The hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent. In particular the kind woman who worked at the front desk, Stephanie was incredibly accommodating and made our stay even better with tons of recommendations for food and activities since we are from Texas and unfamiliar with the area. Great place to say with amazing staff

What a gem, highly recommended! For my family this was the ideal setting to experience the Keys where we stayed for 3 days to relax a bit after some intensive roadtrip days. We booked a Waterfront Deluxe room and the location is just phenomenal! Coming down the stairs, directly feet in the sand :) We really took advantage of all amenities and went biking, kayaking fishing, the kids SUP'd while we watched the sunset,... Magical place :)
The breakfast is pretty basic but ok (we're used to continental European breakfast so no big issue)
I can only praise the staff as well, we had an issue with hot water in our room and for 1 night we got an upgrade to the suite (which was top!) and even gave us a reduction on the stay (without us asking...)
Highly recommended although I would advise the Waterfront to get the full experience!

Stopped out of curiosity on my way to key West. I was blown away by the view from the beach at dusk. We stayed 2 nights which was just what was needed after Miami.
Our suite, amenities and the property is totally geared for breathing deeply with gratitude for what is. I must take the time to mention the care of all the staff, which were just fabulous! You could feel that they enjoyed being there (who wouldn't). We can't wait to return early 2024.
