Abuelito's Mexican Food

Firstly, let me preface this review with this was my second visit - and lightning did strike the same place twice!!! While this isn't a traditional "dine in" restaurant, I will say that the food makes up for it hands over fist. The food is absolutely superb - between our two visits we have tried the shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, chicken burritos, steak burritos (my favorite!!), nachos and steak quesadillas (the kids favorite). Safe to say, I cannot wait to go back for some more ;)

Oh what a gem. A local family run restaurant with authentic flavors. The burrito and torta were both great. The pork al pastor meat on the torta was so good. We also had a side of guacamole and chips. Its the chunky style(my favorite). It could have had a bit more salt, but was still tasty. Definitely worth stopping in for a quick meal.

Great authentic Mexican food! Spicy green sauce was great, burritos were massive, and tacos were excellent as well! Give them a try and you won’t be disappointed!

Awesome little place. Very friendly and sweet staff. Outside eating with covered patio and very clean with well stocked restroom. Great home cooked Mexican food. Prices are very reasonable and portion size is considerable. Large drink selection and close parking.

Love this place for the great food and the welcoming people. Cannot go wrong with the tacos here and the nachos they added are awesome. Was not a fan of the shrimp dishes (I found them a little overcooked) but that was the only item on the menu that I will not order again. I have tried everything but the ceviche. Guacamole is going to be chunky and hearty, a true guacamole and not the dip you may be accustomed to.

Everyone should try this place!! Prices are low compared to the quality and amount of food you receive. I'm always greeted with a smile. And great service. Food is authentic. I can't say enough about this place .try it you will be glad you did!! Your welcome!!!

Food is always good and the people is friendly.

The food is very authentic and you do not get this everywhere and we are fortunate enough in Hawkinsville to have a place like this where we can enjoy real food. The staff are always professional, the outside and inside of the place is always clean and well kept. When I have a long day at work and need some comfort food, this is the best local place to eat.

Best mexican food in a 40 mile radius, beats any la cabaña anywhere. The guacamole was homemade and delicious, burritos were big and not microwaved like other places. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Best food in Hawkinsville. Anyone in town that knows the place can tell you that. The family that own and run the place are of the highest quality and nicest folks you will meet. Perfect for great weather.

Incredible place. Their barbacoa quesadilla is amazing! If you've never been, you have to go at least once and you'll be hooked!

Exquisite Mexican food. Genuinely some of the best food I've ever had, and as far as Mexican food goes; it doesn't get much better than this.

If you want authentic Mexican (not tex-mex) this is a great place. From tacos to barbacoa it's real. I think they make their own sauces.

Mom & pop place. Limited menu, but very fresh and tasty food. We got it to go.
