Wheatland Motel

Never thought we would have to stay at Wheatland Motel as my Grandparents live in Hickory County 15 miles away. But after a traumatizing night a few weeks ago and almost sliding into a creek due to ice and not being able to make the 1.5 miles left we needed somewhere to stay.
Wheatland Motel was the perfect safe haven to our night. Called ahead while waiting on a tow truck to make sure there was a room available and that someone worked the desk late enough to help us. He was so friendly and polite (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name).
The rooms were clean, had a mini fridge a microwave and toiletries.
Check in and check out were easy peasy and being across the street from Hickino worked out perfect so we were able to find something to eat for dinner and breakfast the next morning.

Really great little locally owned motel! Inexpensive, very clean, very comfortable! The linens, furniture, decor, and toiletries made it feel more like staying in a good friend’s guest room than a motel.

The owners obviously take great care of the place and care about the experience they offer.

My mother is in the nursing home in Hermitage Missouri and I stayed a night, you can walk to the diner and gas station right acrossed the right. My room was spotless and very comfortable, very friendly people.

I have stayed in motel ever time I go to lucas oil speedway. Rooms are always Super clean and organized and the Owner is good old boy always on top of things and update the rooms. Very recommended and Super Encourage that you stay there.

The owner was very nice and the rooms were great, didn't smell moldy or anything. Nice fresh clean smell. Would definitely recommend.

Really clean perfect room. The owner is very friendly and great to chat with. Easy in and out with the bike. The beds were super comfy.

The rooms are nice and clean, beds are soft towels are soft. The most friendliest service we definitely will be coming back. Also very affordable. We had 5, 2 adults 3 kids

A very clean and comfortable room, it was well maintained and cozy. Beds were comfortable, good hot shower and friendly staff. The cost of the room was reasonable. Lots to do around the area, would recommend staying here and will do again.

Very clean and friendly. Several of us stayed here when we had job in the area and Owner was so polite and flexible it was almost unreal.
They even gave refunds when job ended ahead of schedule.

The property had no vacancy due to races at the speedway, but instead of being rude or gruff the gentleman at the front desk actually called another property for us to see if a room was available there. It was such a nice gesture!

Clean and friendly. Very affordable. We were a late check in, the owner was so sweet. The Coffee was great too. Thank you! We'll be back for sure.
