Mary's Grill

A delightful find in darling Tonkawa. We rolled into town just after dark and in the middle of the downtown intersection, a Christmas tree! What a greeting, just a short block away was Mary's. Great experience here, I started with a chocolate shake and then ordered the impossible burger with mashed potatoes, coconut cream pie for dessert. All tasty but the pie was outstanding. I highly recommend.

We stopped for a quick lunch. Just a quick 2 miles east of I-35 and we were so glad we made the effort. The food was wonderful and the service was fast and friendly. We ordered off the "lite" menu and our choices were delicious, and the servings were very adequate. We shared a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert, and it was incredible! Probably the best I've ever had. MARY'S GRILL will be at the top of our list for a meal on our next trip to Oklahoma!

Late lunch on a Saturday. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Offered menu suggestions and was very helpful. Hubby got their chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & green beans. It was huge and it all tasted delicious! I got a hamburger with sweet potatoes fries. Also delicious! Hubby got a cinnamon roll with coffee. She made a fresh pot for him. We took home a slice of apple and chocolate cream pies. All were made at the local bakery next door. All were really good!! We would definitely eat here again!!!

Delicious food and very generous portions. Big variety of potato options, and everything was well cooked. The open faced rusty beef sandwich is my favorite meal, but hubby likes the chicken tidbits. Service is friendly but a bit laid back, best to tell them if you're in a hurry.

My son scarfed down his burger before I could get a picture, and the only critique he offered was that he wished there were sesame seeds on the bun

Wonderful place people are friendly and nice. Food was very good real wholesome burger big peace of meat the chicken fry Steak was awesome too.. they get a 10 in the next time im in town i well stop in and take as many people with me ...

Thisbis a true small town cafe/restaurant. I ordered the bacon ,egg, cheese croissant, which was delicious! I would definitely recommend.

Stopped on our way to OKC because our baby wasn’t having the drive & I’m so so happy we did!! My husband had a grilled cheese & tomato soup, a very simple dish that they elevated so well! It was garlicky & delicious!! I had the baked potato with Mac & cheese on top, it was perfection. The bacon was smoked & the amount of cheese was just right! The service was great, the bathrooms were clean, everything was fast. It was the perfect unplanned stop! 🙌🏻

I had the chicken fried steak. AWESOME. 6 oz., tender cube steak, lightly breaded by hand, nice crunch but not hard or thick. Creamy soft interior fresh cut fries, and okra fried to perfection. Not sure if the gravy was from scratch, but it was great.
I was the only one there and the only downside was employees chatting tooooo loud to let me truly enjoy the moment of wonderful food and attentive service.

We love going to Mary's. The waitress in the mornings that has been there forever is a breath of fresh air, the coffee is hot and strong, and you can get the best pie!! Highly recommend checking out the bakery next door, owned and operated by the same folks!!!

I'm sitting here enjoying this amazing burger. Usually I do not make the review until after I have left a food establishment but this was way to good to wait until the taste has settled to make this. The burger is absolutely amazing and the service here was exceptional. I love ma and pa places and this is definitely one of the best so far. They have daily specials and fair prices. This is not only a must visit food establishment but also a place that I'd definitely be a regular customer at if i lived closer. Definitely a 10/10.

Pleasant surprise from the small town of Tonkawa. Decided to try the local diner while passing through. So happy that I did so. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I had the open faced roast beef sandwich with grilled vegetables and a baked potato. The portion of roast beef was at least 6-8 ounces and falling apart tender. The biggest surprise came with the check. Price was cheap and it said pay now by phone! This Tonkawa diner is way ahead of the technology curve. Needless to say it’s worth your time to exit I-35 now and have a decent home cooked meal.

Oh my goodness, a thousand thumbs up! We found this place by accident, and then found ourselves mapping the distance to say “we would drive here JUST for this”. Huge portions, and homemade EVERYTHING. Truly a gem in Tonkawa! I had catfish, my partner had a burger, we shared pie. Yes, all the way around! Excellent food and friendly people! Also, there is a bakery next door owned by the same people, where they make pies fresh daily. We weren’t going home or we would have visited that. Wonderful experience! ❤

Folks Mary's Grill is a little out of the way place that's just off of I 35 in Tonkawa Oklahoma. Home type cooking at its best the Chicken fried Chicken was so good with gravy, mashed potatoes and homemade roll just thinking about it makes me wanna stop back by. Mary's also has a little salad bar with fruit and veggies so fresh you'll think they have a garden out back. I hear their pies are all home made I didn't have room for a piece this time but I'll be back real soon so I see you there.

I couldn't take pictures. It was too good to stop eating. This place is definitely worth trying out. I had the hamburger steak. My wife had the chicken fried chicken. Little man had chicken tenders with waffle fries. We were so stuffed but couldn't resist the cherry pie with ice cream on top for dessert. Everything was so great! I cannot express how GREAT it all was in words. The waitress Devyn B was excellent!!! We were passing through but will make the drive again for this food!

First visit. Wonderful hometown diner. My hubby and I got burger baskets. Delicious, homemade, cooked fresh. I did notice a well stocked, fresh-looking salad bar. Plan on going back for that 😉. Welcoming and genuinely friendly folks there.

Service was excellent from the start (Waitress-Karri). We had the special, Brisket Sandwich with chips (5.99), Very delicious! I Don't usually eat sliced brisket but it was super tender and flavorful. Great service, great food, and great prices. Highly recommend!

Best chickened fried steak in the state....and the green beans are soooo amazing. Love this restaurant!!!
