an old african american church in indian territory. the area used to have beautiful forests, but the area just past this had been bought by croppers who had come in and razed the 200 acres they bought from my parents, burying Jackson Springs and many indian artifacts.

Take OK—147 for 2.6 miles north from US-70. West on E 2040 Rd for about 2.2 miles then turn north on N 4333 Rd for 0.45 miles. Box Springs Church is on W side of Rd, & fronts Box Springs Cemetery. The bldg is relatively in tact, but at least 1 door has been burst into.
⛪ The maintenance of the grounds etc., is poor.
⛪ The only mowed section was a car-wide swath up to the Cemetery.
