Tailgate Tavern

Tailgate Tavern offers walls of TVs, plenty of seating, and multiple bars. The staff is friendly and the service is quick and efficient. The food tasted great. I recommend the fried Gouda Mac and cheese bites! It’s a great place to hang out and watch any sporting event.

Been several times. Food has always been good and fresh. Pretty good beer selection. Small sports bar type atmosphere inside. Cool place.

Seared pork chop and steamed broccoli with garlic butter was phenomenal! About 1" thick chop, tender, juicy, flavorful. Steamed broccoli was tender but not soggy, also good flavor. Waiter polite, professional, attentive. Mixed drink perfection. Casual neighborhood atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

Pleasantly surprised. 😁 We were going to Whiskey Alley, it looked pretty busy. Decided to try out Tailgate Tavern instead. We had great service. Enjoyed some beer 🍻 and football 🏈. The food was great. No complaints here! 👌🏼 We'll definitely come back.

My Husband and I enjoyed our first visit here! We shared the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer which was SO good! We both ordered the Lamb Gyro, mine with onion rings and my husband's with french fries. The gyro itself was AMAZING. The onion rings were hand battered, fresh and really good. The fries weren't the best. Would definitely be back again!

Had a great time at the tailgate tavern for dinner. Tried their loaded lamb fries, firecracker shrimp, and mac and cheese bites for appetizers. All were great, but the star of the show was the loaded fries. It was a combination of gyro fixings, and cheese fries and it was absolutely delicious; lots of different flavors, and textures all at once. For my main entree I got their signature tailgate sandwich with onion rings. Very delicious sandwich, and it tastes even better with the au jus. Onion rings were good too; nice and crisp and the batter wasn’t too overbearing. Our server was excellent too. I forgot her name but she had pink colored hair and tattoos. Very attentive, friendly, and brought a warm vibe to the establishment. Definitely come and visit when you’re in downtown Aiken.

We loved the food here. The service was excellent.
The steak bites are the appetizer but add mashed potatoes and you got a meal. The meatloaf was so tender and not just covered with the basic ketchup. My sides were lima beans and mashed potatoes. They were great! I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for some great down home cooking and sports. Check it out. It's not a typical sports bar. Sit inside or outside.

Arrived super late but the food was good! The smoked chicken wings 😋😋😋 The bartender was very nice and got our order out before the kitchen closed

Great spot. Met some wonderful people. Devon our bartender made sure we had what we needed and even got us a ride home. Thanks for a good night

An absolutely wonderful meal. Khamron was the best server never missing a beat. The coconut strawberry Margherita was delicious. Caesar salad was very good. Chicken tenders were meaty and had good flavor. The highlight was the firecracker shrimp Tacos. Best shrimp Tacos I've ever had. They had open mic going on too and it was very nice. Overall a great meal.

The best smoked wings and great vibes! Can't ask for better service! Cheese bites are 🔥! Definitely going to eat in-person!

Great place to watch a game, have a beer, and enjoy a meal. The shrimp tacos were outstanding. Great service with friendly staff. Also try the sampler appetizer plate, chicken wings, ribs, and smoked gouda were delicious.

Don't let the unassuming front fool you. Food and service is top notch. Dylan was our waiter for lunch yesterday and he was friendly, efficient and professional. We had the smoked wings and burger with fries for lunch, both delicious. Dylan recommended the bread pudding for dessert. We got a slice to go and enjoyed it with the cup of ice cream that came with it on the drive home. So delicious! I only regret we didn't get the steak bites appetizer. I saw it on another table and it looked fabulous, we will try it the next time. Highly recommend this little restauran in the alley.

The onion rings are great and the smoked wings were good. The service was very good and the atmosphere was good.

Didn't have high expectations... Went ahead and orders a chicken Avocado sandwich ... I was kinda blown away as a bar and grill delivered to my plate the best chicken avocado sandwich I've ever had... Beer selection was par ... But the food is kinda awesome... Very unexpected ... Firecracker shrimp... Best in all of Aiken.. was kinda shocked this was the truth of life.. I will be back... Said to be a better menu starting in evening time as I was there for lunch...I'll be back.. prices high but possibly fair .. order something off the wall and expect to be amazed

Imo, the best place to eat in the alley. The chicken wings are unbeatable and the ribs are phenomenal. They have a pretty good cocktail selection for a sports bar and Brandee was a really sweet server.

Best burger I've had in a while! I love the location!

We got the Mac n cheese bites, black and blu burger, and smoked lemon pepper wings with onion rings!!! Absolutely amazing!!! Everything is homemade. The wings fall off the bone. So delicious. The jalapeño ranch is a must!! Our new favorite spot when we visit Aiken.
