Hitchcock Woods: Clark Road Entrance

Parking was limited, led to a private road. Woods is great. Hiked on a weekday before sunset and there was nobody there.

This is a wonderful place to walk or ride a horse in the middle of the city. There seems to be endless miles to walk or ride and all of it, in nature, that feels so detached from the city. The terrain can be easy or physical depending on your choice to walk. A couple warnings, don't go alone unless you are very capable. Also, if you don't have a very good sense of direction, use a gps or other mapping app while you explore this true gem.

This entrance is quiet with great trails. Just not much parking

I was amazed at the size of this place and the quality of the trails. Great place for a hike in a beautiful area. I'll definitely be back!

Love hiking here and going for a run sometimes. But ground is very sandy and hard to get though and not possible to mountain bike here at all. Wish they had some more maintained trails that weren’t just mainly for horses
