Ramsar Caddo Lake Wetlands Visitor Center

Like a dream… I was swept away in the magnitude, mystery, history, silence, the many voices of nature. I am in love.

Absolutely worth visiting!!!!! Lots of trails and beauty, and so much to discover!

It was cool that they took a mobile home and displayed once wild birds, different ammunition and a bit of history all together.

Neat place with a small museum of the animals that you could see in the area. Friendly people who take the time to talk and answer any questions.

Very interesting Federal Lands. A wildlife refuge right on Caddo Lake that was a manufacturing plan for munitions in the mid 20th century. Excellent boat ramp and some interesting trails, unfortunately several of them were washed out from rains when we visited in mid April.

There is a mobile home building with some information and a passport stamp. A mini museum. No worker was manning the building.

I made a rookie move and forgot to check the status of the nearby State Park so I ended here instead. The Reserve is isolated and has plenty of native vegetation and solitude. It included an auto tour and several trails.
