Absolutely amazing. I was stopping by just expecting a quick dinner at a no frill place but hell was it full of surprises! The place is clean and you can see the effort that went into the place — wall painting, decoration. Food is also great, especially the salsa that the owner Jacob made. Jacob was really amiable and easy going person and sang and played guitar for me…you can really feel the personal connection there. Would recommend 10/10.

We were in the area in mid-July after escaping on a post-quarantine road trip from the big city.

After stretching our legs in the nearby Caddo Lake State Park with our 2-month old baby, we needed to find a nearby place to eat where we could also hope to maintain appropriate social distance.
Luckily for us, we found this local taco joint where we were, perhaps unfortunately, the only customers that afternoon.
Despite the COVID-era lulls in activity in establishments such as this one, the chef/owner was nonetheless very happy to host us and entertain us with his charming personality...
...and unexpectedly delicious food (I had the marinated, slow-cooked beef short rib as pictured).

Coming from the big city further south, we have ready access to some of the best Tex-Mex and Mexican food in the world.
At Aseret, the quality of their food and the hospitable atmosphere they created for us was a different kind of experience that is not had all too often.
Needless to say, we recommend it to all that visit the area for much-needed R and R.

The food was great. Atmosphere couldn't have been friendlier. Socially distanced. And he played the guitar and sang malaguena salerosa for us!

There were two choices the salsa. Hot or mild. The hot was really good. I ordered the beef fajitas. The food was delicious. Rice and beans comes with the fajitas but I did not want any rice and beans.

This is the best secret in Karnack and Jefferson! This was better than any Mexican food we have had in DFW. Excellent service too!!!!

Great food and a fun atmosphere. The owner is fun and very personable. A fun adventure.

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Authentic food with a personal touch. We were the only ones here, came 30 mins before they closed. They made my husband his own salsa, he LOVES spicy stuff. The waitress entertained my baby while I ate. We even got serenaded by the owner who sang and played guitar. They also have super cute dogs! Highly recommend!!

We had such a great experience here! The food was authentic and tasty, and the spicy salsa is dangerously addictive! The owner even sang for us, and honestly he’s quite good :)

Strongly recommend - delicious food, authentic taste and a friendly atmosphere. The owner was attentive while we ate, then during a quiet time he played his guitar and sang. It was all so good that we ate here twice during a short stay in the area!

Has to be five stars because the only fault I could find was the absence of Margarita’s! A good selection on the menu. Very polite and diligent service by the owner along with his serenade and guitar playing. And Momma was an excellent cook!

Great authentic Mexican food family style. The owner is always there and even does a lot of the cooking. Fresh and delicious Mexican favorites without the greasy mess served up at most Tex Mex rest. I eat there often and have never been disappointed. I recommend highly. Ask for his fresh daily special!!

Lovely place with delicious shrimp tostadas, an adorable dog, and staff who make you feel so welcome and happy! We left with full bellies and big smiles. Also loved seeing how much love the owners have for their Mexican culture and heritage... Really makes me want to go spend some time down south!!! Thanks for the great service!

Terrific authentic food at this hole in the wall. The goat taco and fish a la Veracruz were fantastic. The owner Jacobo is a homey guy, you think that you are eating at a friend's house. His wife cooks so this is true home cooking. Highly recommended.

Great authentic Mexican food right down to Mexican Coke. This is a one man show: waiter, cook, entertainment, busboy, and I'm almost sure he washes the dishes. We had really great food which was served reasonably quick. Then he picked up his guitar and played/sang for awhile. If you're near Caddo Lake, this is the place to eat. Great food and entertainment, and not crowded.

This little tiny hole-in-the-wall is simply fantastic. First of all, it's owner operated meaning that a husband and wife do everything themselves from hosting, to serving, to cooking and cleaning, they do everything. Their homemade salsa is delicious and will clear your sinuses for sure. Fajitas are simply fantastic. This is the kind of place you can't pass up. Definitely worth a long drive to get there.

I went there after coming from out of town to visit with a friend and her baby our server was fantastic aka the owner it is a cute mom and pops place. The husband was serving and the wife was in the kitchen cooking. They created a fun experience for us. We were teaching him english and he was teaching us spanish. When we finished our meal he played guitar and sang to the baby just because he wanted to. It was super fun they even loaded the baby up with mexican candy when she was dancing to his music. Food was great experience was even better. 10/10 strongly recommend.

We are in Karnack for our Honeymoon, and our hosts, Paul and Terry, brought us here for dinner.

Perfecto, the spicy salsa is super spicy 😋 the food is AMAZING. By far some of the best Authentic Mexican food I've ever had.

And Jacob, the owner, serenaded me and my husband as congratulations for our wedding. So sweet.

First visit today but certainly won’t be our last. Outstanding food and service with reasonable prices. The chips, hot sauce, guacamole, combination fajitas and enchiladas were delicious. Prepared to order. Looking forward to our next visit here.
