Weinhard Cafe

I have eaten at the Weinhard Cafe numerous times and have thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes I have tried, as well as the ambience there. Recently, I tried their Fish n' Chips. I have to say that I don't recall ever having better; the fish was large, flaky, tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly! No dry, heavily breaded fish here. Just amazing! The fries are very good too - flavorful- but I like them a little crispier. It also came with a split pea soup which was very tasty. Very generous portions. Very reasonable price.

Today I ordered "to go" and as you can see, portions are very generous and the don't scrimp on the vinegar.

If you love fish and chips, and you are traveling through Dayton, WA, you will love Weinhard Cafe. Open Wednesday- Saturday. Just yum!

Always lovely experience, beautiful atmosphere, service staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My husband's rib eye was cooked to perfection, great portion sizes, regional wines available as well as beer (Deschutes Porter.) Desserts deserve their own 5 stars. The smoothest most delicious cheesecakes vs the most decadent moist chocolate cake. So hard to choose, good luck! All was priced so everyone could enjoy a little bit of goodness. Will definitely return.

We love this restaurant in Dayton, WA. We have gone several times now since the new owners have taken over and each time is more enjoyable than the last. Friendly, attentive service & delicious food. From the appetizers to the desserts the food is presented beautifully. Prices are reasonable and the wine list is also excellent. Weinhard Cafe is our “go to” restaurant when we have friends in town visiting. It’s a real gem in the sweet little town of Dayton.

I love this place! I stop there for lunch often and have been delighted each time. The staff is terrific and the menu has offerings for any taste buds.

I am gluten intolerant and the restaurant has many main course and desert gluten free offerings.

You will nor be disappointed.

The French Dip, Cesar Salad, Turkey Sandwich, and Clam Chowder were all absolutely delicious! The service was prompt and pleasant. The meals were filling and fresh with lovely presentation. The atmosphere was also comfortable but modern. Would absolutely recommend!

Wonderful dinner! The spinach artichoke dip and bread was incredible! And the desserts are to die for. But one of the best parts of the Weinhard Cafe is the friendly, engaging Jenn and owner, Mandy! We always feel so welcome there and you will too.

Third time we've eaten at Weinhard's. Each time has been wonderful. We're trying to sample something different from the menu each time, despite the temptation to go with what we know to be good. We haven't been disappointed. From the appetizers to dessert, the food is wonderful. A great secret outside the Dayton area. Based upon the quality of the food, cost is not of great concern. However, we've paid half to twice again as much for some incredibly mediocre meals in the Tri-Cities.

Totally delicious natural healthy gourmet food that my wife and son and I absolutely loved...

A small tour bus we were taking to Palouse Falls stopped here for lunch. The twenty people from the bus were served quickly, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, which were individually selected from a small but diverse menu. Delicious desserts topped off the meal.

I will go back if I'm in the are again.

My mushroom sandwich was so unique and delicious! The people working there were so nice. My husband loved his burger. We will make a point to stop there again. A gem.

The Pork Medallions were fab! The staff was very attentive without being intrusive and the owner is delightful also. Still had room for dessert and it didn't disappoint (peach cinnamon cobbler). Would definitely recommend and will be back our next time through! - we live in Portland Oregon

I had a hamburger like no other! And the Beef soup is to die for!!! The Port wine & Syrah made my night! I absolutely recommend this place. My hubby had the French dip, and he loved it, as well as his Chardonnay. We topped off the night with carrot cake & Lemon Coconut pie. The service is excellent here. And the music was jazy comfy! This is the second time for us. It won't be the last!

Wonderful meal! My husband had the pork loin who said if not the best, but it ranks with the best! I had the meat loaf special , it was superb! Will be back.

The Weinhard Cafe catered our winery's event this weekend, and it was fantastic. The bacon-wrapped figs and stuffed mushrooms were a huge hit, and literally disappeared. The food was delivered on time, with excellent service, and great prices for such gourmet food.

We're so lucky to have the Weinhard Cafe in town, as one of the leading Dayton restaurants, and we're so happy that they now cater events--both here and in Walla Walla.

The Winehart offers an outstanding breakfast experience with superb service. Their unique French toast is not to be missed and everything else on their albeit limited menu is superb. Pricing for the quality delivered is very reasonable.

Really enjoyed having dinner Here, great service also. You can certainly tell they use local fresh vegetables and they make their pasta here . It's worth what they charge. If I pass by Dayton again I would come back .

Meals were not only delicious, but unusual and exotic.
It was their first day, and they were slammed, but kept their good humor, which made it a truly splendid, welcoming, post-pandemic experience.

Ordered shrimp salad. Wonderful. It was not the usual bay shrimp and mayo. Large grilled shrimp and spears of asparagus still warm with avocado and greens. Will visit again.
