Pinhoti Trail AL CR24 Trailhead

Really enjoyed this trail!! Had a pretty waterfall and if you climb up by it you will get to a lake. Pretty easy hike.. a little overgrown and had some ticks on us afterward. Didnt see a single other group on it and we went on a pretty Saturday morning.

Easy access from the road and very close to town only about 30 minutes from Jacksonville

A bit busy here, but a shoulder to park on and no problem leaving your ride for an overnighter. Great hike

Hiking north bound from CR24 you will see several waterfalls. This sectinos makes a nice overnight section from CR24 to US78, about 15 miles with a good campsite beside a creek about 8.5 miles in.

Love this particular stretch of the Pinhoti from 24 to Cheaha State Park has plenty of level clean campsites with the fire pit as well as a shelter right outside of the State Park on the Pinhoti the name is Blue Mountain Shelter and it has a ladder you can climb up to the loft,where I sleep everytime im passing through.plenty of water sources.

Originally meant to go to Cheaha State Park but it was closed so as we were driving away, we noticed this on google maps and decided to take a chance. OMG am I glad we did! This trail is much longer than the little trail shown on google maps. One part leads to a little lake and gorgeous water fall, and the other trail keeps going for miles. Definitely give this one a chance!

Nice moderate hiking trail well marked. Some creek crossing need bridges but are passable.

A little hard to see marker for trail entrance. We enjoyed the trail.

Pretty sure this is a dog dumping spot. I found 3 dogs here when I visited. One was dead(hit by a car) and the other 2 ran.
