Cedar Hill River Cabins

Clean spacious and private. The hosts are very kind. Cabins are clean . Hot tub is spacious and clean. Arrived and a/c was on already for us. Best cabin my wife and I have stayed in. We will return soon.

Super clean, nice terain I was able to take my 2 big dogs (not suport animals or services dogs) just 2 berry clumsy dogs 😀. Fishing in the lake was super cool,and exiting. my family was very happy, conftrable.
Playing pool and hanging out by the office was nice on a rainy day. We took my 9 month baby and he loved the outdoors (protect your baby bring bug repellent, sunglasses, sun blocker,outdoor carrierbackpack,trust me it soo worth the investment) we loved it and we'll be back soon 😀.

This place is the BEST!! We stayed at the River House, and it was perfect! Lots of beds, and rooms, for everyone in our party. The hot tub was wonderful, the kitchen was huge, and well stocked. It was so awesome, we're coming back this year, with even more people!

Wonderful stay! River House was so clean and nicely setup. We loved it and plan to return soon!

The pool table in the office was a nice bonus. We saw whitetail deer and bald eagles everyday. The folks who own/run it are so nice and the reservations and check in is simple. Such a nice relaxing place to stay in beautiful Southern IL.

I stayed at Brileys Retreat and it was amazing! The cabin is precious and a nice layout! You have all the cooking items needed, a grill and a firepit, a whirlpool tub - great relaxing getaway spot. Can see the Ohio River when you sit on the couch. Can't wait to come back!

Immaculate cabins that look recently renovated. Best stocked kitchen I've ever had in a short term rental. Quiet and secluded. Wonderful views of the Ohio River. Very reasonably priced. Already planning a longer visit when the weather warms up. (Stayed in Hank's Hideaway)

2 notes:
1. Make sure you bring all your groceries with you. There's very little nearby.
2. You cannot flush any paper products (not unusual for some septic systems), so be prepared to put your TP in the trash. This can come as a shock to some people.

It was the last stop point in our trip. It was the best. The location near the cave in the rock is the main credit. We stayed in Brileys Retreat Cabin. It was so clean and very rich with lovely details. The owner is so friendly. We enjoyed a lot there. You need less than 20 minutes to the Garden of the God.

Very nice cabins on the river bluff. We stayed in Bentleys Lookout. Nice view from the hot tub on the deck overlooking the river. The cabin was clean and fully stocked with all utensils, pots pans, towels, blankets, etc.... Near a lot of Shawnee National forest sites.

We stayed in Jaycees Nest in early spring. It was chilly but gorgeous. Beautiful clean cabin, hot tub on the front porch along with grill and fire pit. Pet friendly was a huge plus. We had a small glitch that could have been a vacation ruiner but Mandy problem solved with us and we had a very relaxing stay. I imagine the summer on the Ohio is a blast with these folks! We're definitely coming back🤍🥀🤍

Beautiful views of the Ohio river make this place special. The cabins are nice, roomy and well equipped. The area has many parks nearby for hiking and sightseeing. I highly recommend the Cedar Hill River Cabins!

Everything was wonderful! The cabin was very clean, welcoming and private. The hot tub on the deck was clean and private. Check in and out was painless. I’d definitely stay here again!

Cabin was very clean and set in a beautiful location. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. We will definitely be going back maybe this fall to see the colors.

We will most definitely be returning! This place is beautiful! We stayed in Jaycee's Nest and pictures DO NOT do it justice! This cabin felt private and secluded, absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. Beautiful views and a cabin that makes you feel like you're home. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the beautiful attractions nature had to offer in the park. Amazing location. Thanks so much for the stay!

Absolutely the most amazing weekend getaway my husband and I have ever had! We arrived a little late and everyone was so accommodating! We originally booked alyssa’s riverside-hotel but we were called before our trip and due to cancellations we were able to stay in Bentley’s Lookout it was gorgeous!!! I am so happy we were able to switch! The hot tub really added the relaxation we needed! I highly recommend Bentley’s Lookout for a couple getaway or even a getaway with another couple. We are even hoping to go back before the end of summer and stay in the River House with our kiddos since we had so much fun! We also had a dead battery issue with our car, (silly me was so excited I left lights in the car on) I called the office and help came right away I was blown away by their hospitality!!! A HUGE and very sincere Thank you to all at Cedar Hill River Resort! My husband will never forget this Birthday weekend thanks to all of you! You All Are Amazing!!! 😁

Superb cabins for a very affordable price. The cabins have been very well updated and maintained and we had everything we needed for our stay! The jacuzzi tub was awesome and our kids loved sleeping in the loft. Great location close to Cave-In-Rock and Garden of the Gods. Easy check in and check out. Simply great!

I love this place for a getaway! Pretty low key. Great cabins. I've stayed at Bentley's and the River House. I'd go back to both. Love the hot tubs on the patios. Great peaceful views. Not completely secluded from others at the resort but not bothersome. Everything you need for a cabin retreat

Right on the Ohio river. You can watch the barges go by daily. Had deer in my yard when I woke up today. Hot tub was much appreciated after a long day of hiking.

Wonderful! Relaxing! Clean! Quiet! Restful! We brought our own food, we had Bonfires and good friends with us. We listened to music and river watched. It was amazing!
The River House was awesome!
2 bed 2 bath with extra sleeping beds and couches.
It was clean!
Beds were clean and great!
Down stairs is very quite for sleeping and cooler too.
Hot tub was sooo nice!
We brought our own fire wood
Kichen/living room was amazing
River views were to die for!!!!!!!.
Check in is so easy...we paid in advance.
Most everything there you would need
Take garbage bags, extra Toilet paper and paper towels. Maybe extension cord. Fan maybe.
Lots of parking. No one too close to you.
Fishing allowed.
We visited Garden of the Gods one day...about a half hour drive. Well worth it.
Small town close by...to buy food or liquor.
Boat ramp kinda close.

Can't say enough good things about Ceder Hill River cabins.

My wife and I wanted a nice cabin retreat for the weekend. This place exceeded our every expectation. There was nothing we didn't love. If your goal is to get away for the weekend, I could not recommend it highly enough. In saying that, do not expect to have great cell phone reception, it is in the woods. Our phones got out well enough to face time our children for about 45 seconds and wish them goodnight. My wife and I will be returning as soon as we get another free weekend. Extremely quiet and relaxing.

Absolutely beautiful! Cozy, clean, & rustic cabins! Perfect to get away from it all! We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, hot tub and grill on the porch and a short walk to the river. Beautiful scenery, we saw deer on a walk! It is secluded and quiet. The people were very nice!! We will be back!! Would love to see the view with snow!! Who needs gaitlinburg when you have this treasure!
