You need to stop here. For one, there are not a lot of places to eat out. Two, because the food is good and fresh. Third, the staff is super friendly.
The restaurant may need a little updating, but honestly, that is its only flaw. The bathroom is not handicap ready, but I always look at that.
You will love it. Buy local.

Stopped on our last night of vacation. Staff were extremely nice and the food was awesome. Great size to the servings. Got the meatloaf and left stuffed. Even sent us hone with fresh pie. Highly recommend.

We had the best food with the kindest service. My daughter dropped her drink and one of the servers literally went home and got her a pair of pants to borrow. I can’t say enough about these wonderful people!

We go out of our way to stop in for breakfast. The two ladies that run the place just pick on the locals like crazy. Food is good priced right. Didn't take long and we were getting picked on just like we are part of the family. Just an all around fun place to stop. We will go back!

This place is a gem. Breakfast was wonderful buy then we went back for the special. Tea or coffee, turkey, mashed taters, salad, green beans, and dessert for $12. It is a small diner so not a lot of room but just a wonderful place to go.

We were given the Hometown diner as a landmark by some locals, on the road back to our motel at Flatwoods. As we went by, I realized it was about 5:30, so instead of going to a chain to eat in Flatwoods we made a U turn, glad we did. Real food for real people at real prices. Only place I ever had a double decker Rueben! We'll make the trip down from Flatwoods again this June when we're back in the area.

The food was absolutely delicious! It was made with love and tasted just like grandma used to make! This food was absolutely better than any food I've had from a top dollar restaurant, HANDS DOWN! The staff was incredibly caring, attentive, and super sweet. I wish I could give this place a million stars. Home Town Diner is an absolute must if you're ever in the area!

I wish I had gotten a picture! This cute little cash only diner was perfect. 🥰
Coffee was hot and fresh, tasty. I ordered the breakfast with potatoes... the bill could have been twice the amount too, the prices can't be beat. 10/10 recommend

I Have had the privilege of knowing the owners and family of this fine establishment . This is a simple looking restaurant.nothing fancy simply hometown in it's appearance but , home to the best food you can have and great staff and owners . The breakfast is phenomenal and the burgers are top notch. I have eaten here quite a few times and without fail am totally 💯% satisfied. The prices are very reasonable . Taste second to none. I really hope they can continue for many years. Every time I am in the area my family and I stop by and have some great food and fine fellowship. I love the "cathead" sized biscuits and the blueberry pancakes are the greatest. My youngest daughter is so fond of the meatloaf the last time we stopped in for breakfast she had the meatloaf for breakfast..lol Don't miss a chance to go here you won't regret it .

Small town atmosphere... big value food and prices. Just a tip.. they don't accept credit / debit cards so plan ahead. It does get buzy and that says all you need to know. So if you have to wait for a table... be patient.. it's well worth the wait. They do breakfast lunch and dinner.

My wife and I where looking for a different place to eat dinner. I am always looking online for country restaurants found the Home Town Diner it was 1 hour 45 minutes away from home, we drive all over so this was no problem. I called the lady said they had a special of meatloaf or pork loin with mashed potatoes, green beans, salad with homemade rolls pie and drink for $10.00, it was great. I would drive 6 hours for the pie alone. Worth the trip from anywhere it was on Sunday we will go back.

A great little stop for breakfast on the way home from Snowshoe. Everyone that works there is personable and happy to see you. They have great home-style food. The omelettes are huge, especially the southwest omelette which comes with several meats and plenty of cheese. On sundays they have amazing baked chicken and their desserts taste great too!

The BEST Butterscotch pie EVER!! I was traveling thru to Webster springs to work on a tower and stopped in for some breakfast, the breakfast was very good. The staff and locals were very friendly, so I seen some pies sitting on a table and ask if any of them were butterscotch and was told one was. I instantly said I would like that one! You can't find anyone that can make a good butterscotch pie anymore and this one was a 10 !! I live in KY about 160 miles from Diana WV and will be driving back just to eat soon but not soon enough! Love love love the home town diner!!

I have eaten here many many times over my 20-plus years as a local Webster County resident. Anytime I am by this restaurant I try to stop and eat their food. It is fantastic !!!! I've had eggs exactly how I ordered along with bacon that was crispy. I've had wonderful homemade mashed potatoes, meatloaf, turkey, dressing .....if you're looking for home cooking or soul food this is where you'll find it! This is a must stop if you're ever coming to Webster County.
