It’s an old easy to get to hotel prices were fair I think it was $63. If you’re into historical things it’s also a spring natural for you to bathe and soak in to heal your body. Very quiet staff was very friendly, a very rustic, explorer, type feel so if you’re up for an adventure to something that you’re not used to staying at it was a very nice place

This hotel is quirky, and very unique. I booked a package for 3 nights for me and a girl friend for a short R&R getaway. The massage therapist Tawn was great. Had a very good experience. We took advantage of the indoor pool. The staff in the restaurant are top notch and the service was excellent. The fried chicken was fantastic. The breakfast was great.

I have been interested in the healing mineral water baths since I first heard about the place. There were some things I did not know when we booked the room and somehow had not heard. I knew we were staying there over Halloween, and heard there may be some paranormal activity. I wasn't sure if I really wanted to know actual stories beforehand because it might be too creepy and talk myself out of it.

I stayed the first night in my room by myself. It was quiet and comfortable, apart from a couple of random loud thumps throughout the evening that I chalked up to maybe some doors closing in other areas of the hotel. But now I'm thinking otherwise.

To be honest, I'm really glad I didn't know much about the ghost stories. I feel as though knowing any stories could have influenced me, rather than allowing me to have a genuine paranormal experience- which was actually not the reason for this visit at all.

This morning around 9 am, as we were sitting in our beds, talking about what we were going to do with our day, we heard what sounded like a child running along the roof above us. We were on the 3rd floor. It wasn't logical that someone would be running on the roof, so I thought it must have been in the hall - even though it sounded more like it was on the roof right above us. We both heard it, plain as day. We had not seen any children anywhere, that was the only time we heard what sounded like a child running, and it was the entire length of the room. I mentioned it to the staff in the restaurant and they confirmed that others have heard footsteps as they shared some of their stories with us, as we were talking with them, we heard some thumps from behind us in the dining area.

I came home and found the ghost hunters episode that had been filmed there- which we learned about from the staff. In the episode, they heard footsteps on the ceiling in the room that was across the hall from the room where we stayed. Gave me goosebumps.

I came to this hotel for mineral baths and massage. I like it. I love old hotels with history... Of course everything is old, but there are no Taras and no ants. the service is excellent, everyone is attentive, the mineral water is good, excellent masseuses, cool bartenders...

I had a wonderful stay, the hotel staff was excellent and the prices are fair. However the magic of the hotel itself was unlike any other. The pool waters, and the Spa bath was amazing. The hotel is rustic and homey , I wanted to stay another night. Body pains I live with everyday had reduced greatly due to the mineral springs water. Even had some orbs appear in a few photos. Great Historical place and I will be returning from now on every month. I definitely recommend you experience this special place.

First off let me say yes it's a bit dated but i mean its old and full of history. Nothing fancy here but the foods amazing, service was wonderful and couldn't beat the price for all. We did a package deal for 2 night. Pool was warm and the mineral baths very relaxing. Had a massage myself and the wife did a facial. Our whole weekend stay cost us about $500 total. They give you coupons for food and snacks that come out to more than half the cost so amazing deal. Dated ,yes but made up for it with the cool vibe and bar drinks were ice cold plus reasonable. We were completely satisfied and will return.

Not the fanciest spa, but atmosphere and staff make it worth a million. Park and play.

I have wanted to stay at this cool old hotel for a few years now. I finally had the chance after driving to Chicago from Memphis. I see a lot of people complaining on here about how "run down it is". It's from the 1800's and it's not going to look like the Hyatt! I thought this hotel was incredible for it being this old. My room was clean and smelled nice. The restaurant was a welcoming sight after being on the road most of the day. I treated myself to one of the best filet's I have ever had! Dani the bartender/server was so nice!!! She told me a lot about the history of the hotel which was awesome! The pool looked nice even though I did not swim. The lady's at the front desk were plesent to talk to as well. There was really nothing to do in town because the town is in the middle of nowhere but I did not care because I was staying at the hotel for the history and not for the town. I hope I get to stay there again soon!

Had a wonderful stay! Nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The mineral baths were relaxing, and the massage was very good. Cindy was a great masseuse and took care of us, even though we were the last 2 for her day. The boiler room restaurant was nice as well, food was great.

I didn't stay here overnight, we visited the boiler room downstairs. I probably hadn't been there in 20 years. The young man working was extremely gracious. We had a large party and stayed a long time. We will definitely be back. The food was great and the prices were surprising affordable.

If your looking for fancy don't come. If your looking for comfy, homey, friendly, kind people and home cooking come on over. We love sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs. We have met really nice people from all over. Love it.

If you enjoy complaining to the managers or want a 100% spotless room with brand new furniture and modern look, look else where, Karen. If you wanna stay in a clean room with old school furniture and wood grain alarm clock at a fantastic low price, they got you. The staff was so polite, awesome indoor pool, old school feel all around. Bed was firm but not uncomfortable, bathroom had a few minor cosmetic issues but was clean.. Enjoyed that there was both a restaurant and lounge in the hotel.

I traveled from NC to KS, making several stops along the way. I found this hotel online, and loving old hotels, took a chance. What a great hotel! Built in 1867 (burned and rebuilt in 1898), this place has a lot of charm. If you love atmosphere and old structures, this is place is great! The rooms were comfortable, they have an indoor pool that's 9-feet deep, a nice bar area, with good food!

I've been here 6 or 7 times now and I love it, it's a historical hotel with a vintage feel. Inside there is a nice spa offering baths and massages, as well as a large pool (9 feet deep on one end which is nice.) The Boiler Room restaurant downstairs is excellent, everything is always cooked perfectly and priced very well. There's also an attached bar in the back of the hotel, The Steam Pipe, with a Touchtunes, gambling machines, pool, darts and affordable drinks. The bar also serves some food, including delicious pizza. The hotel has been featured on several ghost hunting paranormal shows. It's worth checking out.

This is a beautiful historic building. The room could have used some TLC and the bed felt original to the 100+ year hotel. But happy we got to experience the place

Spa Review: They offer mineral baths. You can do it separately, without staying here. As of January 2021, it was $25 a person for a "half hour" soak. Our lasted longer on a Monday, with no other guests. You change in a changing room and are given a fluffy robe to wear to the private baths (one tub per person, private). The walls were low enough that I could talk to my wife next door without too much difficulty. The baths are huge (modern) jetted tubs, 5 feet long and quite deep. I am tall and round (being nice to myself) and I fit in fine. My wife is not tall and felt the tub too big. We were able to soak and enjoy the baths without a problem.
There are massages offered as well. There is a dry sauna and an indoor swimming pool, too. I recommend calling for details. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I just celebrated our 18th anniversary here and loved our experience. The mineral bath was amazing and left us both feeling refreshed and relaxed. The room was very clean and prepared for our arrival. The hotel is decorated with many antique features to accentuate the establishment in 1867. And also offers the amenities of 2022 with cable and wifi access. The restaurant and bar area and service was very pleasant and would highly recommend try the fried chicken. The indoor pool was an outstanding way to wind down after an awesome day together. The history and feel of the original springs hotel is one experience that is highly recommended. We would give 10 stars if possible.

If your looking for a lil get away with your man or just the girls this is the place! The hotel itself goes back from 1867. The furnishings are from that Era. Hot mineral Bath and massage is a must, dinner, drinks and breakfast devine. The staff is so friendly and its surrounded by a quaint lil town with shops walking distance. Indoor pool Is nice. They have overnight and weekend packages.

Awesome stay building was built in 1864 and heard it was haunted. Didn't see any ghost but the suite and staff were great. Highly recommend this hole in the wall spot. Prices were great also had a two room suite for under $150.
