Boiler Room Restaurant

We stopped here while traveling down I-64. It's a really unique restaurant in the basement of a very old hotel (1864). The restaurant is only one part of a family of businesses connected to the hotel experience.

It has a special desirable charm, despite not being the most kempt place.

The food was really good, and there was a good selection. The onion ring batter seemed a bit stale tasting, but everything else was great. The fried chicken was fantastic! I would love to try their steak.

The service was sublime. Servers were attentive and kind. Our kids enjoyed learning about how the hotel is haunted😉.

I got the prime rib which was good. My mother got the Reuben which was excellent and the atmosphere matched. I got the feeling that somebody else had eaten the same meal in the same spot 150 years ago

First time to the Boiler Room Restaurant. Stopped here for dinner and pickup our grandson. Got sat down at a table quickly with menus.
Drink orders came quickly. Had the Fried Veggie platter. It was good and hot. Wife and daughter had the side salad and had the soup of the day.
"New Clam Chowder". Salads were ok. Pretty much just lettuce leaf, no extra Veggies. Now the chowder was delish and piping hot. We ordered a 2pc chicken, 4pc chicken, French dip sandwich and a kids grilled cheese. Chicken was again piping hot, had to let cool a bit. It was very good and juicy. Daughter's dip sandwich didn't have cheese. Don't know if that's the it comes, but she said it was real good anyway. The kids grill cheese was made with Texas toast. A good hearty grilled cheese. Server was fast with more drinks, clearing the clutter on table and checked on us for anything we needed. Will be back.

Our waitress was awesome, she recommended the fried chicken. Handmade onion rings, nice side salad with house Poppy Seed dressing, excellent fried chicken with roll. Hubby and I both ate for under $20! Will return if ever in the area.

Stopped by while passing through area. We had marinated chicken and lasagna. Both were excellent. Would highly recommend

Absolutely incredible. Don't let the outside look trick you. Step inside. The food is so fresh and so good. The staff is so friendly and great. Will be back for sure.

This restaurant is in the lower floor of the Original Springs Hotel. There are doors going outside to the street, and connections to the pool-side of the hotel. The decoration is reminiscent of an "early pub" and pleasant. It does have a room sized for a large event (reunion or smaller office party). I recall there being steps almost everywhere - so probably hard to get a wheelchair in (just my memory).
This has a "down home" diner feel and the food is pretty good. We were able to alter our salad choice without problem. We had good table service. This is a place that I would recommend to drop by and try.

Hands down the best service and cook. Best food and service you will ever see. You have to try their chicken..Best we have ever had..Always cooked fresh. Beautiful place with alot of history.From the gangs in the past and Ghost.

This place had the most amazing atmosphere and the people were so inviting. They went above and beyond with their service. If I’m traveling through the area again I’ll most definitely stop in again.

Just went for lunch. Plan to go stay a night though. Pretty cool place.

Great food great prices, the staff knows what they are doing. I highly recommend you try their fried chicken soooo tasty and cooked to perfection.

Unique restaurant in 1800's hotel, food was great and prices for fried chicken dinners is unbelievably low.
