Peper's 49ER Restaurant

We visited Peper's 49er restaurant, in Castle Rock for the first time.

What impressed me most, is that they make almost everything from scratch (even desserts), which is extremely rare for this area.

The facility was very clean and well lit. The decor was pleasant and nicely done.

We had breakfast, which included the homemade Chicken Fried Steak & eggs with homemade country gravy. It's was really good! As for the portion sizes, they give you plenty enough to make sure you don't leave hungry. In other words, you get lots!

The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the Sausage links were to die for! Serious compliments to the Chef for all of your hard work! It's very much appreciated and not going unnoticed. Oh, btw...the coffee is reeeeal good!

We can't wait to go back again to try something else. I'm sure it'll be great!

Great little spot to get a good home cooked meal after spending the afternoon at Mt St Helen's and the Observatory hiking and photographing.
Saw on the way in, and on the way out we popped in. Surprisingly only a couple cars in the parking lot, but shortly after arriving it picked up. You could tell it was a regular locals spot based off the conversations and staff interactions.
Food was excellent, nice large portions and speedy service. The pumpkin desert was delicious!

Not a 5 star dining experience, but easily 5 star for what you expect from a local restaurant. Clean, food is well prepared, staff was friendly, service was quick. Wife and I each had a different type of burger, son and grandma had fish and chips. No complaints.

Having never been here before the biscuits and gravy i had for breakfast was very good and would definitely eat here again.

40 years, and still always look forward to visiting, and grabbing a meal here! The Oysters, and the Bread Pudding, just excellence on a plate!

I have conflicting thoughts about Peper's because the general atmosphere and menu selection wasn't anything outside of what you could get at thousands of other diners across the country...except that it was done correctly. The inside felt clean without being overly sterile, the food all came out hot and cooked to perfection (if you order your eggs basted you know how much this means), and the service was friendly with the exact right amount of attention. Is the food gourmet? No. Would I go back? Absolutely.

I enjoyed my meal greatly! This is a mom and pop place that offers real food for regulars and travelers. I enjoy supporting small-local business. The bacon was exceptional...thinlck and well cooked! Thank you!

We have eaten here many times! The food is always hot, the service is always very friendly and the prices are reasonable. They've got some really great comfort food, steaks, fried food, chicken fried steak, and they serve a really great breakfast!

Classic trucks top diner. Everything is good, portions are large and the clam chowder is so thick and rich you can almost stand your spoon up in it! Breakfast all day too! So if you are like me and can't decide on breakfast or lunch: You can get a burger with hash browns instead of fries and add a half order of biscuits and gravy. Love this place

Just left with a full tummy, and a dessert to go!! Prices are well worth the deliciousness you are served here by the lovely and attentive staff. Never been here before, but travel from Seattle to Springfield Oregon quite a bit and now we have a place to get good food on the road. Thank you to our server(sorry her name escapes me) and to all the friendly staff❤

The waitresses were the best...very friendly and helpful. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon on our way home from the Oregon coast. It was a nice stop after a few hours on the road and it is nice that there is parking out front for our motorhome towing our truck. My wife and I both had hamburgers and dessert. I had apple pie ala mode and it was very good. My wife had the bread pudding and it was phenomenal. It is actually the restaurant where we both had our first bread pudding around 20 years ago. The pudding is a little different than it was back then but it is just as good or maybe even better.

Super nice people. I went back the second time and met one of the owners in believe it was the Daughter. I got a little history of the place. It sounds like people who work there have been there for ages. The food is always on point. A chicken fried steak tastes like its supposed to.The soup is all homemade and so is everything else. My only problem was what to order. Because I knew everything was going to be amazing! I'm going back every time I got to Portland

Hailey is our favorite waitress, I ordered a waffle and it was served with strawberries, but I don't care for them,so the cook went out of his way to prepare some blueberries and put them on my waffles, I was so greatful for that extra effort they put into my food. Very caring ppl.

We've lived in the area for a year and have been looking for a good breakfast place. We've finally found it.

These guys cook eggs to perfection. Their hash browns are excellent, and portion sizes are outstanding. The Big Mountain Breakfast is our go to and we've never had a complaint, despite being picky diners.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in the area. Amazing staff and amazing food. We were there for a special occasion then came back a few days later just because we could, we don't eat out much so that's saying something. Wife ordered the chicken fried steak and by far the best I've ever tasted. And the fries, the fries here are also some of the best I've ever had. If you're in the area or travelling i-5 then stop here. You will not regret it.
