Downtown Dempsey's

This is a fantastic place to get pizza in Adrian Michigan. We ordered the classic. It was very busy for a Friday night. The staff was wonderful. We ate in and were updated as to when the pizza would arrive. It was fresh from the oven . The toppings were excellent. Cooked to perfection. The cheese is not just mozzarella. It’s a cheese blend like I have not had on a pizza. The sauce was home made too. We also tried their cake balls. We got peanut butter chocolate. WOW!!! You will not be disappointed by the pizza, cake balls, or the service. Excellent.

Such a cute little place. Love the Strawberry Salad and every sub I've had so far has been so good; crunchy/soft bun, flavorful, and unique. Best enjoyed right in the front window by the little greenery wall! Love that you can see the kitchen too. Kind of fun to watch your food being made!

We stopped in during First Friday to try the Crab Rangoon pizza. It more than exceeded our expectations- it was delicious and is highly recommended! Service was top notch and the atmosphere was enjoyable. And be sure to grab a cake ball (or two!)

Where do I start?
Given the opportunity to try many different restaurants it's been evident quality hasn't been a focus for many of the places. But Dempseys was a fresh of breath air.

We ordered several options and each was better than the last.

The strawberry salad was packed with freshly sliced strawberries, goat cheese, toasted sugar nuts, and leafy greens. Along with a beautiful fresh avocado sliced. It allowed for the perfect bite with each forkful. Our entire family loved it, and the way it was so beautifully prepared was shocking to be honest. We're so used to our to-go food hap-hazardly thrown into a box and either missing items or barely anything except lettuce,.

The sub was amazing. Toasted perfectly, again stuffed with the toppings to provide a mouth full or flavors.

The pizza was piping hot and delicious. The generous toppings didn't surprise us, and the flavor was once again wonderful.

This is such a treat to have an Adrian, we will be visiting more and telling everyone to do the same. Our order was what pride in your food and business looked and tasted like. You can tell its important they leave an impression and it certainly did. In all the places we've been lucky enough to try, this establishment has been one of the best in reagrds to salads and sandwiches. Friendly, clean, to boot.

The salads are soooooo good here! Not just iceberg lettuce and few toppings like other restaurants. It’s spinach and spring mix with lots of goodies to make your salad yummy and healthy!

Nine bucks for soup and half a sub is an absolute bargain! Especially when both the soup and sub pack punch like what Downtown Dempsey's is serving up. I ordered the Bacon and the Bird sub, with a cup of chili. The bread had an incredible crunch to it, and all of the vegetables tasted fresh. The chili was the perfect accompaniment to the sub on a rainy afternoon in downtown Adrian. If you haven't already, stop in and grab a sandwich! And be sure to grab some Cake Balls on your way out. Thanks for the wonderful lunch!

Super friendly and helpful staff with plenary of fabulous gluten free options! I had the cheese bread with a miss Izzy on gluten free bread, I’ll so be coming back to try the pizza!

Found this gem of a family owned restaurant while looking for someone to cater my daughter's baby shower. The food did not disappoint. Received many compliments from the guests. All fresh ingredients and Tiffany was great to work with putting menu together. When we returned the serving platters we stayed and had pizza, which was amazing! This is a must try if you find yourself in Adrian. Highly recommend!

An absolute GEM!! If you want excellent quality food paired with incredible service that won’t hurt your wallet, look no further!!! Best pizza in Michigan! Not feeling pizza? No worries, sandwiches are just as amazing! Stop by for some great food and drinks (yes they have alcohol!)!

Great pizza and subs here! Ordered the "Best Pizza in Lenawee" and was not let down!

What a hidden gem. It was a total fever dream from start to finish. The staff, food and aroma all compounded into what I can only sum up as a one of a kind experience.

@Nicole Davis, how can you do this to a small business on an extremely busy night? This restaurant deserves all 5 stars, not 1 star! Someone cutting in line is beyond their control! Perhaps you want to rethink your rating given that this restaurant serves amazing food & has excellent service.

Cake pops were really tasty and not dry at all like ones I've had before at other places.
Their pizza is really good here too.
If your looking for a place to hang out down town with tasty food I recommend here.

Im from the east coast ive had a hard time finding good pizza since moving to michigan, lots of frozen doughs and cheap toppings. NOT AT DOWNTOWN DEMPSEYS fresh handmade dough and high quality ingredients and toppings make Dempseys food a definite must have. Great service, amazing food, the atmosphere across the street from the croswell theater highlights beautiful downtown adrian. I absolutely love dempseys and highly recommend giving them a visit and trying one of there 5 star pizzas or sandwiches and an ice cold beer you will not be dissappointed.

I ordered a Gluten Free pizza. The crust was very good, as was the rest of the pizza. The staff is very friendly. I've also had sandwiches and chili. All have been fantastic!

Really? You're going to give them a bad review on a busy night workings hard with so many people. We were there tonight and had to wait, but found the service and food to be nothing less than amazing even though they were swamped. The audacity to leave a one star review on a First Friday for a small business......shame on you
