Jack's American Bistro

Wife and I stopped early on New Years Eve, only half expecting to get a table. No reservation. The host was friendly, welcoming and brought us right in. (They had plenty of reservations, but he was good at his job and knew he could fit us in. Even told us to relax and have a good dinner, so as not to feel rushed.) Food was delicious, and our server, Kevin, was the perfect amount of attentive. Thanks to all who work at Jacks! Highly recommend this family owned, local eatery.

People born into restaurant *family* are a different breed of hospitality. And I mean that in a good way. Old school .
Going to Jack's is like warm memories.... good food, wine and staff that go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable.
Chris Gates in the kitchen and David at the door is the perfect combination. The staff has years of experience.
Their prices are affordable and the atmosphere is low key.
I'd recommend Jack's to everyone!

One of the best restaurants in the north country and beyond. Great bartender and wait staff. Management is great and very accommodating. Very comfortable. After my first visit I became a regular. The food is great, presented well and comes to the table hot. They have specials that are delicious as are thier regular items on the menu.

Excellent place. As soon as we walk in, we felt very welcomed. Not only by the staff but by the guests who were visiting this place. Everyone was so friendly and positive. The vibe was out of this world. A big shout-out to David George, our waiter. We just loved his positive attitude. It made the food taste even better.

Now for the food... amazing. I had the veal chop and boy oh boy, it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Haddock. She loved it. We truly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Definitely a place I would recommend.

This restaurant is absolutely delightful. The waiter. Dave was super. The owner Dave was extra nice. You felt like you were at a place that you’ve been for many times. But we had only found this place yesterday and it was our first time. They make you feel at home they make you feel like you’ve been a patron of theirs forever! The service was excellent. The food was excellent. we come from Long Island and I’m really sorry that we don’t have a place like this with people like this around in our neighborhood . We know next time we come back. We are definitely coming back here for a visit. I think if you don’t visit them you’re making a big mistake.. Enjoy.

I think Dave was hosting, not sure but the customer service was beyond compare. Really nice server, and they really know how to cook everything was prepared beautifully.

Wonderful atmosphere. Superb quisine. Friendly staff. What else could you need? 25 minutes from Saratoga Springs and worth every second!

You are welcomed the moment you step in the door, everyone that works there wants to make sure you have the best experience! Even if they aren't assigned to you. The food was fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned! It was my first time there and it felt like the perfect place, like a great hug!

We had the most delicious meal. 3 of us had the haddock au gratin. 1 had a seafood dish in a white sauce. All thought it was one of the best meals we ever had. David the waiter and Dave the owner both went above and beyond to make it a great experience

First time diners on our way to Lake George. We highly recommend this restaurant. The service was helpful and friendly. David recommended our appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The prosciutto wrapped prawns and the crab cakes to start were excellent. The spicing for the salmon and the steak was also on point. If you’re not too hungry the restaurant offered 1/2 portion servings too, that saves room for dessert! The bread pudding is probably the best we have ever tasted! Make a point if you are in the area to give Jacks American Bistro a try! You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice atmosphere, cozy and clean. The menu is not over done, there is a nice selection of flavours. I don't recall a pasta dish, that would be a nice addition! All in all the owner was very nice and we weren't rushed to leave!

A very good restaurant with great food, service and decor, all hidden behind a modest storefront exterior. And the well-spaced tables keep the noise level down, so you can have a conversation with your dining companions.

This is the second time that I have been there,each time I had beef. The tonight was a small, probably a 7 ounce filet cooked perfect and seasoned perfectly. The kitchen sure does know,what they are doing. I wish that there was more stars to give. The waitress was very attentive. My wife and I love this place, thank you for an enjoyable meal.

The ambiance, service, and dinner were excellent. The beet salad
and crab cake were delicious. The filet mignon
was perfectly cooked and the spinach was the best I've ever had.
The deserts were" to die for". My husband and I are looking forward

This is a wonderful family bistro; The servers were very friendly, attentive and willing to give selection advise. Along with the food being marvelous and timely, made for a great experience. I can't believe we hadn't known of this bistro before. It is my new favorite place for dinner or cocktails in the Glens Falls/Queensbury area.

This is a really nice gourmet restaurant. The exterior strip mall location is deceiving, and hides a simple but tastefully decorated white tablecloth eatery. Meals from around $14 to around $32 are really tasty and well made. Service was very attentive and friendly, and the slight wait for food was well worth it because everything is made as it is ordered. The deserts are heavenly and the wine list is solid. The motto says to lean in...Kiss: French; Drink: Russian; Eat: American. Great place and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our dinner. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere.
