We gathered at the resort with friends to let our kids swim. The pool area was big and nicely kept.
We also ate dinner. The special menu didn't go over well with the kids. The staff offered regular menu items which were much better for our families.

Had dinner in the main dining room overlooking the lake with a fantastic sunset in the distance. Couple that with a delicious meal (salmon and cod) presented in a professional manner - and it makes for a great dining experience at the lake.

Everything was great, room was clean, staff was very helpful. We had my parents 50th wedding anniversary there and the only compliant I have is that in the morning, when 14 of us went to the restaurant for breakfast the next morning, they told us that if we don't get the buffet and all order from the menu it would probably be over and hour for us to get out food, thought that was ridiculous.

I stayed there for approximately 2 weeks and truly enjoyed it. Other than the slow internet, no signal for AT&T customers, the service was fairly good. My biggest problem was that the bartenders paid more attention to the drilling service employees that hang out there more than anyone else. Although I am a drilling service empolyee as well, I try not to act or dress like one on my off time. With that said, I went into the bar, sat at a table for over 20 minutes and the waitress/bartender that night would just look at me and never asked me if I needed anything. So I went over the the restaurant side and had really good service there. Supposedly, the lady that was working the bar is also one of the managers. If that's the case, she needs to be retrained on customer satisfaction, versus wanting more tips from people whom she assumes has a ton of money to throw away.

I spent a couple months in this hotel for a business trip. Overall, service is good, facilities are okay, and internet is TERRIBLE.

Being without internet was more frustrating than normal, because the hotel is in a part of the state where only Verizon customers have cellphone signal. Staying here without internet or cellphone made things difficult.

Positively, the staff in the hotel restaurant (especially Trudi) and at the front desk (especially Ashleigh) are very helpful and fun. The staff always responded to me respectfully.

The views of the lake. But was quoted one price online and was switched rooms last minute and overcharged. Waited over an hour for dinner... The only nice point of the stay was the breathe taking views.

We had our wedding here. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE DEBORAH RUINED MY WEDDING. Deborah who is the "wedding planner" only talks about herself the whole time saying how special she would make our day... She never did a walk through with us or checked in with bridal party to make sure we needed anything. Not to mention We had a large bridal party and asked for a large room for hair and make up (that never happened) so 10 of us had to squeeze into a regular room. It made the photographers job a lot harder and missed out on some great photos. Deborah left 45 mins after our reception started and said she had to do "some magic" in our bridal sweet. There was NOTHING SPECIAL about it because she didn't do anything. The best part of Atwood lake resort is the food and manager he went above and beyond to try and make us happy and even brought us lunch up while we got ready after a bridesmaid made a comment about Deborah not even being onsite. Deborah didn't show up till about 3pm and wanted to do a walk though while guest had already started to arrive. Luckily myself and the bridal party had done our own walk through earlier in the day because we knew we couldn't count on Deborah. I do not care what Atwood lake says DO NOT TRUST DEBORAH. The resort and site is AMAZING but hire your own wedding planner. Atwood lake resort was also completely way under staffed. The GM Brad was just ok he did try to make things better but not by much. Needless to say I would highly recommend NOT having a wedding here. Maybe stay and lodge there the foods really good and the view is nice but that's it.
