Wawona Hotel Dining Room

If you’re staying in Wawona to get to Yosemite, the town is so small you really just have this hotel restaurant and a local deli/convenience store to choose from for prepared food. Luckily, Wawona Hotel is a beautiful historic building that serves decent food for the price. The dining room is lovely but waits are long so reservations are recommended. Staff is helpful.

We swung by for takeout - had to wait a little bit but we were comfortable. The burger and fries were surprisingly really good - burger was tender, fries crispy yet fluffy inside. And prices weren’t outrageous. Great pit stop to replenish your energy!

We stopped in on whim because of how charming the building was! Beautiful old building. The dining room was nice, clean and spacious. We had excellent service. Our drinks were always full and our food was brought promptly.

The food was fabulous. The service was top shelf. They were super helpful with my husband who is in a wheelchair. The beautiful view out the floor to ceiling windows was spectacular as the sun set.

It was a bit difficult to get the wheelchair up to the restaurant and the bathrooms being accessible only from outside was a bit unusual - and cold - but those inconveniences were eclipsed by the rest of the experience.

And there was an added delight of live piano music and singing.! A fabulous time. We will definitely go back!

We stopped by for lunch here at the Wawona Hotel dining room. The food was very good. The service was excellent. We loved the atmosphere, the historical settings and the scenery. It was a wonderful lunch experience.

An interesting pit stop on the way in or out of Yosemite. The Inn is very historic and the more senior staff are happy to tell you all about it including the various Presidents who dined here etc. Good food reasonable prices.

We had a lovely breakfast here. We expected it to be busy for breakfast, however we were pleasantly surprised. We had the two egg breakfast wnd it was delicious.

We had difficulty making reservations as no one answered the phone x 3. Two places we read they opened at 5 pm but the door and the actual was 5:30.
Nice dining room with interesting light shades. Also a pretty view outside of some biggish trees. It got busy fast. We were waited on by Oakhursts Irene. (Ilene?). She was friendly and talkative yet also efficient. We were the 2nd party seated and the food came immediately.
Wendy had the soup and salad. She finished it all. I had the Tofu dish. It was good. I thought a smallish portion. Menu said it came with Salted Peanuts. I thought it was TOO salty.
I finished things off with the LOCALLY Made Key Lime Pie. A normally smaller restaurant sized portion yet GOOD!

Food was good. The staff is helpful and friendly. The prices not too high. Historical environment. Cool thinking Theodore Roosevelt was the there.

Whenever I'm at the Wawona Hotel, I eat the Roast Beef Dinner. It has been on the menu for 36 years.

I had lunch there. Their vegan chilli and American burger was great. Bathrooms and coffee is good too.

Old school feel with a solid menu good service and a short walk from your room. Beats anything you might find in the valley for both quality and value. We enjoyed our salad, the burger and the salmon . House made key lime pie was delicious

Amazing historic place in the Yellowstone National Park! Hotel is super charming! Food was good, great spot to grab food or a drink, even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Steak luncheon was very tender. Great atmosphere and great location beneath shear granite cliff.

Fantastic lunch in an amazing hotel!

After a long hike the burgers and fires were amazing. Not a lot of places to eat in the area anyway. It I highly recommend this place regardless if there are other options around.

My kid loved the pasta on the kids menu. My waygu burger was a little dry but very tasty. Way better than anything we got in the valley lol. Our server (I think her name was Sydney) was outstanding! Wish I would have had more time here to try other things on the menu

The food is very good. Atmosphere at night is very cozy and relaxing

Delicious Pot Roast with mash potatoes, carrots, and shallots. Peach Cobbler finished the dinner up great.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. We were there for the breakfast buffet after backpacking for a couple of days and it was great to sit down and have a real meal. They also allowed us to keep our backpacks at an empty area while we ate, which was nice.

The selection was: eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, french toast, cereal, pastries and a bowl of fresh fruit. For drinks, coffee, milk and orange juice. If there were more options I didn't see it or ask.

At $16 a person I thought the price seemed a little steep for a spot outside of a national park that you'd want accessible to everyone, but something to consider if it's the closest place for breakfast from this park entrance.
