I did not come to Yosemite expecting good food, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it in this low key joint. Menu changes daily and the choices are never boring! Vegetarian and vegan options are always creative and they never feel like an afterthought that was slapped on the menu. The cabins at Yosemite Bug are just okay imo, but I've rebooked my stay here again and again bc I know I’m going to have a great meal at the end of an exhausting day.

Five star is not enough to describe great food they are serving. Stayed on property and we ate at this cafe every day ..breakfast and diner. We did not wanted to missed our dinners cause every day menu changed and new exciting dishes appeared. Service was very friendly and attentive, outside sitting so inviting. They have some wine selection but for small cook fee you can have your own wine. Great place will definitely try to come back.

I stayed at the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort for a few days and I was honestly nervous at what I would be eating. I knew it was going to be in the middle of almost no where so I was prepared to eat apples and bananas for my entire stay. I was very much pleasantly surprised when I learned they offer actual vegan food and they even change out the offerings daily!

I've had their breakfast burrito, cauliflower samosa, lasagna, pie, and trail lunch. Their portion sizes are HUGE, for me the food were easily two meals. My favorite was their lasagna. I don't even like lasagna that much and this was just so cheesy and loaded with all the good stuff. The garlic bread that accompanied the lasagna was perfection as well. You know how sometimes garlic bread is more of just butter and maybe some herbs, but this was LOADED with garlic.

The trail lunch I wouldn't get again because you have to assemble it yourself which was a bit inconvenient for me while I was hiking.

They also offer vegan sausage as a side which I take advantage of by getting it in the morning as a side to my leftover pie.

We came here because it was the closest restaurant to where we were staying. Didn’t realize it was part of a hotel/camping place!

The servings were large and priced accordingly. My husband and I split a dish and it was so delicious and homemade tasting in the best way. It filled us up in more ways than one!

It was also sweet to see the dining area being used as a hang out spot for guests and enjoyed watching some little kids running around, and other people playing cards.

Lucky to have such a great place right next to our hotel. A bit pricey but totally worth it after a long day in Yosemite. Staff are very nice. My iron flat steak was perfectly cooked and purée & crunchy greens were delicious

First off all though they have limited staff, they are amazingly friendly and accommodating. Our party had the half chicken, steak and potato crab cakes and we were all incredibly pleased and satisfied that the dishes were carefully and thoughtfully prepared. They also had a couple of vegan/vegetarian options that i am sure don't disappoint. Mediterranean Stew was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Beer selection was great and the bug displays were gnarly 😆 enjoy yourself!

Everything was perfect. The place, interior, taste and service! I ordered one sandwich and one burrito for 2 persons. Those were enough to eat and quality was really good as well.

Cool and creative homestyle cooking in a charming woodside restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The interior is homey/cozy. The food surprised us with fresh ingredients and creative and tasty combinations. Well above your average restaurant, and with very reasonable prices.

Amazing place if you want to have breakfast when you are on the way to Yosemite. It closes late, so you can dine after a hard hike in the National Park. Incredible food and very nice atmosphere. Good prices. 100% highly recommended. 10/10.

Awesome atmosphere. Outdoor seating available. Delicious vegan food. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely making this a regular visit. Did I mention vegan pie - mixed berry or apple. Tried them both. Yum 😋

Awesome place for breakfast. Great lodge-type setting with a homely feeling. We stayed at the resort and went to breakfast everyday. Good food at slightly higher prices, but one would expect it given the remote location.

This is such a cool place, they not just have good food but communal vibes with comfy sofas and board games. I was staying at the resort so came here 2-3 times, great service each time. The cheesecake and Cali eggs were all great! Would def come again next time I come to Yosemite.

Food was incredible! This place is loud and vibrant but full of character and fun. It is crowded and loud but that is part of the joy of being there! We were so impressed by the quality and level of the cuisine. So beautiful and delicious!

Got the flat iron steak and it was absolutely delicious. Both mine and my sisters were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Mashed potato was on point, broccoli was crunchy, chimichurri was a killer complement to the steak. 10/10 would order again!

Very cute cafe. We reached in the odd hour right after breakfast and before brunch (10-11) so had very few options. But the menu looks good for all meals. Tried the coffee, carrot cake and chocolate cream pie. Everything tasted nice. Cafe service is quick and staff is nice. Would recommend!

Excellent food! Their tri-tip dinner was tasty and I love their mash potatoes. They leave the skin on there. Great country in the woods atmosphere. They have outdoor dining which was an awesome experience and peaceful

I paid $38(tax+tip included) for this huge steak. They are so kind and generous. It was enough to share 2 of us. I really enjoyed my dinner.

Gem of a place in midpines. There are not many restaurants between Yosemite valley and Mariposa to begin with. I am glad this gem is there and open until 9-930.

Service was top notch! They were very accommodating of our needs/requests and prepared the dish accordingly. Their pies were looking good.
