Mom was seen immediately. Dr. Watson was thorough with his tests and diagnosis. Mom loved him and the staff. They had a wonderful bedside manor.

Had a visit to the ER a couple weeks ago. It was very busy but the staff were all great and helped me get stable until I could see a specialist. The Nurse that was helping with us fast track patients was super attentive, compassionate, and was juggling between several of us.

I moved to Pahrump 2 years ago from the east coast and was always told I would need to go to Vegas if I needed urgent medical care. However, I ended up at Desert View after experiencing intense crushing chest pain and dizziness. Honestly, I cannot for the life of me understand the negative perception of this place. From start to finish, it was one of the most comforting and thorough experiences I’ve ever had in a hospital (and due to an autoimmune disease, I’ve had far more than the average).

This is the first place where my symptoms weren’t written off as anxiety. Every member of the staff listened to me and made me feel like my care and comfort were a priority.
I ended up admitted overnight and my room was clean, comfortable, and well attended. From the triage staff to the ER doctor and RNs, to the cardiologist (Dr Mirza), the stress test staff (Nikki and David — both of whom have extremely compassionate bedside manners) and every single nurse and CNA on the floor I was admitted to, this was invariably the most concerned and professional medical staff I’ve ever run into.

Perhaps this place used to be run differently, I don’t know. But from my experience, there wasn’t a single member of the medical staff that wasn’t top notch and worthy of praise, and the thoroughness of my work-up has given me more peace of mind than I could’ve expected.

Over the past few months, my brother had to be treated here weekly. Each week, I would accompany and assist him to his appointment. The staff was very knowledgeable and quick to help with the specialized treatment. Especially helpful was Nurse Lilly and Admitting Admin Melissa. They both help me navigate through all the extraordinary measures required of me to assist him in his recovery. I was unaware that treatment of this nature was available here in the valley. I am very thankful to you both.

ER staff went over and above. Anne Marie from registration, Ebony-ER nurse and Cynthia Houtrouw-nurse practioner were exceptional. Plus CT scan person,
EKG tech and lab people were awesome. Thank you for a wonderful experience being out of state.

It was the first time using DVH since moving to Pahrump. My husband has a very complicated medical history and came down with the flu. We were immediately taken to a cubicle and technicians started arriving to conduct tests. Every one was warm and caring. The best part was Dr. Watson. He read my husband’s history (I always bring it to any hospital) and immediately told us the treatment plan which was exactly what was needed to help. I cannot say enough how reassuring and relieved we were to be in his care. Our nurse, Jenny, was wonderful and Lexie who escorted us out were so caring and sweet. I wish I had gotten the name of another male nurse who came but he was just the same. How lucky we are to have this stellar facility in our small hometown.
Thank you Dr. Watson for listening to us and getting my husband on the road to recovery in just 4 hours!

Physical therapy department is amazing. Naomi, Cody, Ryan and Wendy have really inspired as well as regenerated my mobility. I highly recommend this facility for any physical therapy needs. Very positive and professional. Thank you so much for all you do.

I'm in the ER room at Desert View hospital in Pahrump, Nevada. I have serious heart related issues and had them for over 10 years. I've been to probably 5-10 different hospitals over the years. And I can say with 100% certainty that I've never received better health care anywhere. From the front desk staff to the ER doctor they have all been terrific. Thank you Desert View hospital for giving the people of Pahrump such great health care.

Trip into emergency due to a bad flu, high fever, etc.The staff was truly amazing. Service was great. We are Canadian and I can say the experience in this hospital was far superior to any past services from Canadian hospitals in Edmonton or Calgary.

My wife’s blood pressure spiked to an extremely high level. I work out of state & she drove herself to the ER. The entire staff from check in to the doctor were great. Had her in a room in 15 minutes & running tests. Since I work at a level 1 Trauma hospital, I appreciate all they did. It’s not always going to be perfect, but anyone that works in that environment, from the bottom up deserve kudos. Thank you for taking care of her.

Dr Watson is a fantastic physician. He is so knowledgeable and helpful explaining all the issues. He’s treated me and my wife. We love him. Great doctor. Great person.

Ebony was my nurse and she had the best bed side manor. I have been to this hospital quite a few times and she was extremly nice very attentive and you could tell she truly cared. Ebony is one of the reasons that if I had to I would come back because of her true kidness.

We are traveling from FL and were staying in Lone Pine, CA. and I needed an ER, so we made the drive to Pahrump....I had read the reviews and was a lil hesitant at first, but we went, and everyone involved was very nice, friendly and attentive! There were alot of people waiting in the halls to be seen, we waited our turn and we were home in about 3 hours....

Cody the nammogram tech and Gege the ultrasound tech were both professional, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommend this great staff!

I went early in the morning and got fast prompt service...everyone was friendly and I left happy ...next day the meds kicked in and I was back on track ...

This little hospital was there for us in our time of need, and I would like to thank them! Everyone we encountered was kind, concerned and helpful. The Nurses were amazing and attentive, and the Doctors addressed our concerns. I'm so glad they're here!

Visited the ER for my first time since moving here, it was clean, people were being seen quick and everyone was very caring and attentive.

Ryan was very attentive with my son 12 years old and while examining him noticed concerns with the stitches which saved us from further complications with my son’s healing and motivated me to do my PT. I’m very pleased with my son’s progress in just 3 visits. He now walks straight without limping.

At the front desk Christine is friendly, kind, considerate of all those who come in and very accommodating with my family’s busy schedule and works with us to get the appointments my son needs.

After carpal tunnel release surgery I was in a fair amount of pain and stiff at the beginning of my recovery. Pretty normal really. Limited range of motion and pretty weak. DVH therapy personnel took care of that in short order. Thanks to the right tools and tricks of their trade I healed up fast.
