Mill Creek Lake Boat Ramp

Amherst has done wonderful upgrades here. Swimming areas, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Plus, it's a great fishing area.

Family and pet friendly (keep on leash). This is a wonderful lake that has something for everyone. There are grills on site for an afternoon cookout. It's solid fishing. There's a playground for kids and a beach. Not to mention, a swing that launches you into the water. It has public restrooms and a boat ramp. It's a good time waiting to happen. :-) Oh, it also has a beautiful view of Mount Pleasant! Be safe and enjoy.

Decided to give Mill Creek Creek Lake a look over the weekend. Very happy we did, it's a nice sized lake. It's a little bit of a drive, but plenty big for our needs. We were hunting a lake that was a good size for paddle boarding and kayaking. This lake has all that we were looking for, plus a roped off swimming area, boat launch, bathrooms, and picnic tables with grills. We plan on heading back soon and will update with some pictures.

This place was so beautiful. I was able to Kayak around the lake and see all the amazing wildlife. It was peaceful and the water was fairly warm. The dock had a swing off of it for kids to enjoy jumping in to. Great place to BBQ with friends and family and have a blast.

Great place to swim, fish and have fun w friends or family. Beautiful location. Including a cool feature…a swing set that swings over the water allowing u to jump from it right into the lake! Sorry I don’t have more pics. Highly recommend this lake though.

Tranquil spot to fish or swim. Beautiful views. There are shady picnic tables, separated beach for swimming away from the fishing areas. The depth finder that my husband used said there were many areas that were 20 feet deep out in the lake so it is important to not let little ones surpass the roped off swimming area unless they are good swimmers or have on a life jacket. There's a cool dock to swim to and jump off for the good swimmers. There are also some trails through the woods that I've heard other people mention but haven't tried myself. There is one female and one male restroom that are both large enough that a family can change inside and there are also 2 porta-potties. Plenty of places to fish. There is a nice, concrete boat ramp. No obstructions. Small fish but plenty of them.

I watched a few boats launched. Fun place friendly people, nice lake for kayaking boating or kids swimming at nearby beach. Not far from Lynchburg.

Great for kids has a playground, swimming, has a beach and floating dock and swing/ dock to jump off of. Bathrooms flush and we pretty clean. We kayak around and fish...so far we've caught bass and catfish

Boat ramp, dock, beach, picnic tables, playground, and bathrooms. This place is great!

East to get in to for prepping boat, unloading in water and plenty of room on lake so as not to b too close to the other boaters and kayaks. Beautiful place in the am to get on the water and theres a playset for the kids n some picnic tables. Great place to take the family! Clean.

Nice quiet place nestled in the Mountains off Route 60

The surrounding mountains in the distance makes this place feel serene.The water was clean, warm, and fun to swim in.

Love it but the swing has to go to the swimming side. Need more places to fish and people need to clean up after themselves.

Always well maintained park year-round. Nice big grassy areas and lots of shoreline exposure for fishing. Boat ramp and dock. Picnic and playground areas plus Porta-John facility.

Good place to fish if you don’t care what you catch! My daughter always catches catfish, and she loves it!
