Belmont Peanuts-Southampton

I have favored and eaten only these peanuts for years since I have found them. They are THE BEST! had to stop here while traveling and the place is so very neat! Very aesthetically pleasing, large inventory and the staff was incredible and helpful! We stocked up on peanuts while here and love supporting their business! Thank you for making excellent products people can enjoy and feel good about

This was a great place for a deli sandwich. Even picked up some chocolate covered peanuts and peanut brittle. This place was pretty busy. The food was very fresh and filling. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor. Even had outside seating available. I had the Triple Club Sandwich and my wife had the Southampton. Both were very delicious. It wasn't that pricey for what you got. My wife bought some peanut brittle but it wasn't that great and lacked taste. The chocolate covered peanuts were really good though.

The first thing I thought was the prices were a little high. Then the sandwiches came out and I was very impressed. The triple decker club was so good. I’m talking massive, with both amount and flavor. We will certainly be going back. The Italian and the chicken salad sandwiches were great as well.

If you're coming down 58 and want a good lunch, give this place a try! The place is really clean, inside and out. There are so many salads, wraps, and sandwiches to chose from. I ordered the Jackson sandwich. Turkey, ham, bacon, pepper jack, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, dijon, and avocado ranch ranch on toasted white. Picked up a bag of Carolina kettle chips to try. And it happened to be free drink Wednesday! They have Coke and Pepsi bottled drinks. The Pepsi cooler wasn't working but they did have cups of if you wanted it. Bottled and freshly brewed teas were also available. I looked around while waiting. They have peanuts, wine, salads, and sweets for sale as well. My sandwich was ready and it was wrapped beautifully. The presentation of the sandwich itself was perfect. The only thing I didn't really care for was the added salt and pepper on the tomatoes. Made the sandwich a little on the salty side. For me anyways. But it was still delicious. Give this place a try! There's plenty of parking with indoor and outdoor seating.

I stopped in for a quick lunch and it was delicious! I had the Italian sub and I don't know how else to describe it. But here goes, great tasting and some of the freshest ingredients I have ever tasted combined with a generous slice of mozzarella cheese on top in between two golden halves of a sub roll! The place is beautiful and very clean. The staff was super helpful and was doing an awesome job getting through a surprisingly busy lunch! I'm glad I stopped in and will definitely come back! Maybe tomorrow!

If you find yourself on Highway 58 near Courtland, VA., you must treat yourself and stop at the Belmont Deli and Specialty Shop for lunch! My wife and I experienced this "gem" (September 18, 2023) while on the road to Franklin, VA. The deli section includes an extensive selection of food items that include breakfast sandwiches and bagels plus gourmet wraps, sandwiches, and salads. I chowed down on the "HWY 58" gourmet sandwich - ham, applewood smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions, Dijon mustard, avocado ranch dressing on toasted white bread. My wife enjoyed her "Classic Chicken Sandwich." The specialty shop was neatly laid out with canned jellies, jams, and cheese spreads. Great assortment of Belmont peanuts! Southern recipe and local interest books were scattered throughout the shop. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Clean restrooms. The staff were friendly, engaging, and attentive. The Belmont Deli and Specialty Shop will be a "must stop" for us on any future Highway 58 road trips!

What a wonderful stop off the side of Route 58 in Virginia. The deli was exceptional. A refreshing blend of ingredients makes up a simple yet delicious menu, including breakfast items, wraps, salads and specialty sandwiches, and a soup of the day. We ordered a little of everything! After a weekend of comfort foods, this menu was welcomed with an open belly! The delicatessen offers a refreshing spin on classic favorites. The Italian sandwich had fresh mozzarella, salami, pepperoni and prosciutto, lettuce ), tomato, onion, and banana peppers. It is drizzled with a light balsamic served on a sub roll. Mom had the club. All I can say is my mom makes the best club sandwich. This club sandwich was just as good as moms. It was amazing, actually. The Greek salad was perfect. I am a salad lover. I never feel like any salad is as good as I could have made it. This salad was diced and layered to perfection. There is no need to cut the salad. Yes, I cut my salad up and toss before enjoying it. This salad had thinly sliced romaine, tiny croutons, red onion, banana peppers, tomatoes, feta cheese, and olives. It was a perfect portion, and I enjoy a large salad. We shopped in the gift shop and can't wait to enjoy all of our pickles, peanuts, and sauces. Lots of selections. Many offerings are perfect for a charcuterie board. They even have an amazing cheese mustard. Strongly recommend this stop. The bathroom was well maintained. We enjoyed our meal in the deli alongside a warm fireplace with comfortable seating. This was a pleasant surprise after a long car ride.

This place is great 👍🏼 nice selection of hand made sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Peanuts in all flavors you can imagine. Gifts too. Friendly people and very clean inside. Highly recommend !!

Driving through Virginia on the way to Delaware, from the Carolina’s, we spotted the most darling cafe right off the highway ! This Belmont cafe offered some real food on our long road trip opposed to the usual fast food options. It was such a lovely surprise and we were so happy it was open on the Sunday while we were traveling. My sis and I both had the Italian subs and my son had a ‘kids’ Turkey and cheese sandwich. This thing was huge ! Simple but quality ingredients. And also the best key lime pie cheesecakes I have ever eaten in my life from Kate’s kreations. Melt in your mouth! If you’re passing through Virginia I highly recommend this quick lunch spot. 🫶

Really love the passion they have put into this location. Very nice building with friendly staff. They were making sandwiches the whole time we were there and not standing around. Clean, inviting place to visit and get a bite to eat. A lot better then any fast food chain. Make plans to drop by on your way through. More than likely it will be a stop for us for a few years while our daughter attends college. I have few items I want to try on their menu until I find my favorite.

Great stop on our 🥜 Peanut Trail 🥜 The building and grounds were very current and well done. Their deli was a great place for lunch with seating inside and outside. They have a variety of peanut flavors but did not have samples available. We bought several flavors and our favorite was the lemon 🍋 rosemary 🍃 Their package designs were nice and crisp. Customer service was ok but not excellent. They have made a great investment and have a nice place. Recommend stopping🥜🥜🥜🥜

We were traveling back home and saw this on the side of the road and pulled in. The staff was absolutely incredible, extremely helpful and the sweetest. We have four younger kids and didn’t feel like a bother. The food there was fresh and so delicious. I had the Mae’s Way and it was really good. Highly recommend 🤍

Flavorful fresh lite breakfast and lunch option. And the portions were excellent as well..my family had a salad with protein, chicken salad lb container, and ham and cheese sandwich. Also ice cream! An all we tried was fresh and tasteful and very good. Very clean and attractive location to purchase an eat.

I ordered 5 different products and all of them are amazing! The maple peanuts are delicious and the milk chocolate caramel pecan clusters are the best we have ever had!

This is a nice clean place to go for lunch. I ordered an italian sandwhich which was one of the best ive ever had. They use high quality ingredients and i felt the value for the money was there. In addition, i bought several cans of peanuts in their shop which were all outstanding. I found my new lunch spot whenever i visit family near franklin!

Edited- 12/20 my order arrived, it’s beautifully packaged and the quality of the product is just as I hoped- excellent. Next year I’m ordering by 12/1.

I placed a gift order on 12/6 and it still hasn’t shipped. I can’t rate the quality of the items, but I hope they are worth the wait. It has taken so long I may not be able to deliver my presents by Christmas. Very disappointed so far.

We stopped for peanuts, but were thrilled to find a great menu!! The plan was, originally, to get lunch in Emporia en route from Virginia to South Carolina. Belmont will now be the designated lunch stop on these trips. Five stars for the Italian Sub, Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad sandwiches...large and loaded with filling...and priced reasonably. Also, the iced tea was delicious. Being blessed with a gorgeous sunny day, we truly enjoyed dining at one of many umbrella-shaded picnic tables.

Great place to pick up! People are super friendly, and they even took me in early as well. Plus they have an awesome store/coffee shop with great food right there. I hope I get more loads from here!

My hubby bought some of these peanuts on his return trip from NC. I believe he said they were selling them at a little road stop in Danville Va. Sooo good! Crunchy, fresh, and delicious!
