Anyone who maybe interested in learning the true history of the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe's past and current history must take the time to listen to one of Chief Brown's thorough presentations. If it's your 1st or 10th Powwow, you will not be disappointed. Virginia is full of history, why not come out and experience it by visiting our Cattashowrock Town.

Amazing pow-wow today! Tons of craft tents! Incredible dancers....and my 3-year old even got to dance (with me and her dad of course). Such an awe-inspiring and great experience! I can still hear the drums !

Walking through the village was comfortable and peaceful. The simulated village gave me a feeling of how my forefathers lived and survived. The walking trails identified Native American flowers, berries and the beautiful pines growing on the Tribal land.
It’s a must see as you travel route 58 E. In Southampton county.

The Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) have done a tremendous amount of research of the Colonial records concerning the earlly contact period of relationships between themselves and the Crown of England. They have a beautiful website that shares this history. It's a joy to explore.
