I was traveling and visiting Apalachicola on January 7. After 4 days of fever, I decided to visit the Weems emergency room. There were no other urgent care options within walking distance. My experience at Weems was all positive. The checkin receptionist was friendly and efficient. The med-tech was pleasant and quick. Dr Jacks, also pleasant, examined me and concluded I had no symptoms of bacterial infection and I had a viral URI. Covid and Flu nose swabbings were completed, which came back negative. My visit was 90 to 120 minutes from entry to exit, which seemed quite reasonable to me. I didn’t walk away cured, but I understood my situation. Thank you Weems staff.

I was impressed with their service in the ER. The staff was great as was the doctor. I would go back there.

I went to the ER for the onset of an aggressive infection caused by a puncture wound. The staff and care was exceptional. Of all the ER's and Urgent Care's I have visited over my lifetime, Weem's ER was second to none. It was the most comprehensive and friendly care that I have ever received. They immediately started me on antibiotics after the nurse, X-ray technician and doctor examined me.

Everyone was so kind and caring. Dr. Tangloa was attentive, caring and explained everything in detail as well as answered all my questions. A comforting experience in an emergency room away from home base.

This hospital was excellent to me .Everyone was very nice and truly seemed concerned.I was in the worst pain I had ever been in when I came in and the Dr wasted no time finding the problem and helping with the pain.I'm very thankful for this hospital because I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere when this happened to me.extra thanks for the ambulance getting there so fast.God Bless You All and Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Went to the ER after being barbed by a ray. Very friendly, quick, and knowledgeable staff . Hospital doesn’t look like much, but I got the help I needed pretty quickly.

Although they saw me right away for severe stomach pain, the facility could definitely use a REALLY good cleaning! Such a shame that it's in this condition, being a health facility!! I would not chance getting surgery or stiches here.

How long does it have to take to get an xray? I've been waiting all week for it to get to the doctor.

First: I had issues checking in.
I sat in the room for 30 minutes because the girl at the front desk never put me in the system.

Second: Nurse who did my flu test, did not properly close the test and almost let me leave thinking the test was negative. Luckily the Doctor caught her error.

Third: Issue is, I gave my insurance information the day of my appointment. Weeks later I get a bill for $145.00 and the bill states that "we do not have your health insurance on file. I have called two additional times with my insurance information, each time the person I talk to is clueless. Last person I spoke with said that she would take care of it, now I am getting calls from a bill collector. The only reason that I am giving them (2) stars is because of the doctor.

I went to the emergency room on Saturday 10-15-22 with really bad cellulitis and a thousand bumps from a reaction from something. I NEVER go to the dr so this was really bad. The Doctor came in once for 4 minutes and I never seen him again. No lab work. He did tell the nurse to give me a shot of steroids. I am deathly afraid of needles and I know the whole feeling. I am 100 percent convinced she never injected me and kept that shot for something else or someone else. I was given a prescription and sent on my way. The whole visit took 10 to 12 minutes and there was not one other person there. The hospital is horrible and the nurse is a thief.

My daughter was having a miscarriage and the intake nurse would not even take her back or take her vitals. Told her they could not do anything for her and to just go home. Well 4 days later my daughter was rushed to Gulf Coast hospital hemorrhaging and fainting. Level of care is not what it should be at a hospital.

My daughter, who is visiting from out of state, called me and told me that while in the ER, she listened to the nurses discuss about what state she is from and that she “isn’t as nice a she should be.” She told me she was cordial, but is also sick, so she wasn’t sure why they had this conversation in the open ER for everyone to hear. We are both RNs in other states and this behavior isn’t acceptable.

Receptionist, nurse and X-ray tech were very nice- The ER Dr. on December 26, 2020 was probably the worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. I came in with severe knee pain while on vacation. He never said hello to me or addressed himself. After looking at my X-rays he came back and told me there was nothing wrong with my knee as in,he couldn’t see a tear.( obviously.... you can’t because they aren’t visible on an X-ray and said I had a little Bursitis. Walked away mumbling saying ice it and elevate it. Horrific bedside manner! Could not have cared less. When he mumbled walking away I said “ wait a minute come back here, what is Bursitis? He told me it was and inflammation in my joint and walked away. I feel bad for the people of Apalachola if he is the attending dr. at this hospital.

Terrible place. My wife was sick with phenomena when we stopped by there on vacation. They told us that the bill would be no more than a few hundred dollars then they proceed to send us a bill for $2,000 then another one today for $700 all for the same visit.
