Colt Country Cafe & Buffet

First time here and we were all alone at the buffet at 10:20am on a Sunday. That’s fine, more for us, it was delish. Buried under my eggs & gravy in the pic was a biscuit that I’d bet $5 was from a can but honestly it was fine. There was both crispy and softer bacon to choose from, THICK sausage, and grits. The salad bar was also ready and even though I didn’t get anything, it was a large variety and very fresh looking. Lunch was getting set out as we were finishing up our breakfast. The fried chicken looked so crispy. Meatloaf, taters, rolls. I was just too full to try! Very friendly waitress and cook. If I had one complaint, it’s the cleanliness of the establishment. I’ll stop there because the area around the food and at the tables appeared very clean, as did the kitchen area from where where we could see. These days it’s lucky just to have someone show up to work, so it’s either make food or clean. They are doing good on the food part and I’m sure the rest will come. I will return again in a heartbeat if I’m through here again! Awesome food.

Definitely next time I'm in Ocala I will be back awesome biscuits and gravy, definitely Homestyle Cooking. Great service and extremely reasonable prices.

I found this place online. 1st time I tried this place, I was literally met at the door by the waitress and welcomed in like family. The buffet is smaller than most places I've visited, but let me tell you what they have is so good!
Fried Chicken is wonderful and the mashed potatoes are very good! Haven't been back since the pandemic, and I've since gone on a diet. But I am seriously considering going back on a cheat day! It's like going to your deep south grannies house as the food is that good! Slap yo mama good!

Just had lunch there today, our second visit. We had the buffet and oh man was it delicious! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff there are so friendly, constantly walking around to check on people, all smiles and talking to everyone. It really gives you that hometown feel. It makes you feel good to be in a comfy and positive environment that also has delicious food. I recommend them 100% and would definitely choose them over the longer drive to town, to a restaurant that makes you feel like you’re just another number. So glad we have this sweet little place so close to home.

You can also choose to make a to-go meal instead of dining in! (Definitely with these COVID-19 days never ending!)... The staff is super nice and greet you with a friendly welcome upon entering, this was only my 2nd time coming there and didn't have my other half with me that they are familiar with and they remembered me from only visiting once to make a to-go meal! And the setting is a nice warm country experience! Don't hesitate, their food is delicious! 😋🤠😎😁😃

We were greeted immediately by a very friendly guy, He took our drink order before we even sat down. The sweet tea was good & fresh. The buffet had a good selection of breakfast & lunch & salad. The food reminded me of my great grandmas cooking. It brought back some memories. I think we are going to try to come back every other Sunday.

Nice little cafe on highway 441 north of Ocala. Surprisingly clean and tidy.
Filled with locals, on a very rainy day.
Most everyone seemed to be going for the reasonably priced buffet.
When in doubt, do as the locals do. The salad bar was a generous variety of fresh choices - Very nice!
Buffet fare included country fried chicken 😋, tasty fish, home style meatloaf, and more; served with all the right fixings.
No losers here, just great country cooking! We'll definitely be back next time we're passing through. See you then! 🌴

As country as it gets! Delicious food with great portions. Good prices to boot. Has a fantastic buffet also! Coffee is tasty and hot. Waitress and owner delightful! Will make this a definite stop in when in the area.

We were traveling through all the way from Michigan and found this on our way looking for a buffet. They accommodated our party of 11 and the service could not have been better! The whole staff was so friendly and accommodating. The food is without a doubt 5 star great. The buffet had both breakfast and lunch food available.

I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through and am so happy we found this gem!

One of the best places to eat buffet. I truly enjoy the atmosphere and the service we receive when there. Our drinks are copious and our waiter/waitress is very attentive yet not annoying. They are very good at anticipating the needs of each diner. Thanks Colt Country Cafe and Buffet.

Great food. Staff was friendly. They diddnt have blueberries and the staff was very apologetic, went out of their way to make us happy. 5 stars. We will be going back.

The buffet offerings are cooked to perfection. The food was so good, it seemed like someone was tying to impress potential future in laws with great homestyle recipes.

Always good. We enjoy the down home cooking offered on the buffet. We've never been disappointed.

not to oversimplify but the buffet was awesome. Our server cat was right on top of things making sure that we wanted for nothing. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
