Tortaco Mexican Restaurant

Went here on a Thursday afternoon and I fell in love! The food is to die for, very authentic!! The music was inviting. And the customer service received was top tier. I have found my New Mexican food home here!!!!! From the chips and salsa to the enchiladas and tacos and even the margaritas, nothing was disappointing. I vow to be back once a week!

As CA natives, my lady and I have been DESPERATE to find good authentic Mexican food that compares in taste and atmosphere to some of our most favorite Mexican food restaurants back home here in Rome. We found it here with, Tortaco! I haven’t seen my lady clear a plate in a long time, and I DESTROYED their taquitos. The margaritas are great and the service was excellent. We will definitely be making an effort to return weekly and bringing our kid in to join in on the greatness. I definitely recommend this place to every and anyone in the area, or anyone looking for great food with taste.

Food great! Service hospitable...but atmosphere was bland. We were the only ones there. Not sure why bc the food was GREAT. Felt like we had a personal chef😍.

We recently moved to Rome and have been trying the various Mexican Restaurants. This place is our favorite. Very reasonable prices, food seasoned perfection, friendly service. We will be back soon! Located in a beautiful historic building.

First of all thanks for letting us host our club's board meeting there. Afterwards my family had dinner. I had the fajitas special that had all the ingredients in a grilled pineapple. It was absolutely amazing. One of the best fajitas I've ever had. Such an amazing flavor. Looking forward to eating there again soon. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had the opportunity to stop in for lunch today. Everything was excellent. Melanie my server was terrific & my Loco Rice was delicious! Can't wait to dine again.

Wow! Food is excellent and the staff is awesome! We'll be coming back for sure! My husband had shrimp salad and I had chimmys! Sooo good!

This restaurant is in an old bank building. The food is great, the people are great, and the atmosphere couldn't be better!

I'm absolutely hooked on this place! The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Service is always great! Edgar was an awesome server! Their salsa is the best in town in my honest opinion! Highly recommend eating here if you haven't tried it yet. They never disappoint!

Great service! Quick for those 30 min lunch breaks...if you're not done in 30 mins, lunch is on us! Dinner is also quick with great bar selections! Come check it out!

Excellent food. Clean resteraunt with a quiet atmosphere. They appear to be short staffed as there was only one person working the entire front of house while we were there. However, for only having one man on the job he was doing an impressively good job at taking care of all the tables.

Melanie and the owner are so amazing and treat me the best. The food is good and quick and is always the best. I come here twice a week and will never stop. 10/10 love it

The staff are great. Even let us use their phone for the menu when my sister and I were having trouble getting the online menu. The food was Delicious, and fast. Loved the ambiance.

April 3rd, stopped in after hiking around the area and burning calories through lunch. For whomever is giving 1 star reviews, get bent, this is as close to authentic as it gets this far from the border. The service was outstanding and the food was bussin!bussin!! 10/10 will definitely be back!!

Thier toquito are the best. We used to go there when they were in Trion. Haven't been since Rome isn't as close but it was worth it.
