Lafourche Parish Water District

I called today to ask how I could pay a bill for someone because they are having a difficult time . They were very assistful, the only thing I would suggest is they get up to modern technology where you can pay over the phone instead of having to come to the office.

Angela was courteous and appreciative when I reported the leak around my water main.

... The lady working the counter was nice. But, they definitely need a sign by the road. I passed the place up and had to turn. I knew where it was and still missed it.

The Lafourche Parish Water Company had the decency to call my phone this morning and inform me that the previous tenant had called this morning to have the water cut off. The agent told me that I needed to come by today to pay my deposit and bring a copy of my ID in order to get it put on my name and avoid the disconnection.

My only complaint is you are unable to pay over the phone. They do not accept card payments. This causes a problem when you have to drive all the way over there to pay. The employees have always been nice to me in person and over the phone, though. So I haven't had the bad experiences other people have mention in other reviews.

This water district is despicable! My water bill was due 6 days ago but I forgot about it like so many people probably do with how busy life can be. So they sent a technician to come and cut my water off when my balance was only $20! All while they still have my $45 deposit! The man came down my street, parked down the road, watched and waited until I left for work so he could cut it off without me knowing. By the time I got home and found out it was too late to do anything about it. So my kids couldnt bathe or use the bathroom until I could get it back on the next day. Then they lock me out of my account online so I couldn't make a payment until I drove all the way to Lockport and paid a fee to reconnect. The reconnect fee is more than the total balance of my bill! The lengths this office will go to in order to get money out of people! Down right despicable!! They should be ashamed of themselves!!

Never have I been treated with such disrespect and have been in such DISGUST with how a business is ran. These ladies are completely rude, give you an attitude, treat you like garbage, then hang up or put you on hold for 10 minutes to have the same two people pick up and yell at you some more. I'm sorry to anyone who has to deal with these people or live in Lafouche parish! We had a 25 dollar water bill that we NEVER GOT BILLED FOR BECAUSE THEY HAD THE WRONG ADDRESS, but then can come find my house at 10 am to shut my water off and tell me I have to pay a 20 dollar reconnect fee for their error! My husband came home after working and driving over 16 hours, for them to tell us we have to wait until 4 oclock. Cheryl had the audacity to put me on hold for over 15 minutes, then laugh and say she picked up and nobody was there so she waited to see if I came back. Blatant LIES and DISRESPECT.

I've been asking for a new meter box since April... Come the end of September It still has not been changed.. water pipe breaks at meter.. can't fix it because the threads are stripped in the actual meter itself.. call them back and they said someone would be out within 2 days... 2 weeks later and still nothing...

If you need any information on anything, including trying to set up payments on a new account, don’t even bother calling. rudest people ever. Was literally told “ok, and?” Unbelievable.

Very Rude and hope you don't have a busted pipe on a holiday the not going turn off water for one person especially in desallemands thanks for the rude workers you have in the office

Need to set billing up to where you can pay over the phone or with credit card
