McGehee’s Catfish Restaurant

The drive there was nice but I wouldn't drive it at night. It's out of the way secluded but once there the scenery was amazing. The fry fish was good but had more breading than fish. My husband ordered the grilled Cajun catfish and that was really good. Great flavor. The fries are homemade. Friendly service. Will definitely go again

So worth the drive! First time to visit today and it did not disappoint. Beautiful location. The staff was very friendly. Let’s talk about the food though…. Catfish was amazing. Very fresh tasting. Hush puppies were light and crispy. None of the fried foods had a greasy taste. The tomato relish 100%! It was something I’d never tasted before and oh my it is so tasty! Saved room for a peach fried pie. It came out hot, tender crust and delicious peach filling. Thank you for the great meal.

My family and I have been going to McGehees for over 30 years. We have gone with my mom and my grandmother. They are no longer here. But being there with them back in the 80's brings back good memories. We brought our daughter when she was a baby, a kid, a teenager and now with her and her family. We're now bringing her sons. The beat of life continues to go on. We have never had a bad meal. The food is always great. The catfish and all the trimmings are always consistently good. The folks who take our orders just couldn't be more friendly. Oh. And the fried pies are homemade. Please keep up the great work. Thank you and we'll be back. 😎👍

Love the nostalgia. Been going here since it opened in ‘72. Many family get-togethers. We like to eat in the room with pane glass windows overlooking the Red River. DELICIOUS catfish with a great spread. Not so pricey, if you get the two piece instead of the all you can eat.

Went there with a group of great friends...it was a first time for all of us... waitress was a young lady that did a top notch job wish I could remember her name because she certainly deserves a mention... food came out hot and fresh... would certainly return if in the area...the restaurant setting is awesome with lots of glass overlooking the area and it's about 2 1/2 miles off the main highway... very quiet and relaxing 👍👍

We’ve been coming here for over 40 years. When my grandparents lived in Ardmore, they loved to take us here when we’d visit.😊 Now we eat here when we’re traveling in the area. The catfish today was perfect. Big, meaty pieces cooked just right. The seasoning is great. Love their hush puppies! The service is always friendly and fast.

(The) place to go for catfish in southern Oklahoma! The fish the homemade coleslaw, pickled green tomatoes, homemade hush puppies and the homemade fried pies are all on point! Make the effort to come to this family run restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻

Been eyeing this place for a couple years but every time I think about it, it’s too late to head there from our place in DFw but now that I work in Oklahoma at least once a month it was a chance to try it. The food was fresh, and delicious. All you can eat catfish, hush puppies , fries, slaw and tomato relish for $22 per person. So good!!

We have been lucky enough to have been coming here from either Oklahoma City or from DFW for close to 50 years. We do miss the airplanes flying in/out, but the catfish remains outstanding! Along with all the best sides you can have. You never go away hungry. The drive and the magic of being back in the country never grows old. Bring the kids, bring the family, bring your appetite! Also... bring your camera for some of the prettiest views/vistas in the State.

Just north of Texas / Oklahoma boarder and just West of I35 in Marietta you will find the best catfish dinner anywhere. Family owned and operated they strive to make there customers happy. If you don’t care for catfish, they have chicken strips and Hot Dogs. Give it a go, I think you will enjoy.

A little hard to get to, but the food is great! Cat fish is outstanding. Also the hush poppies and Wanda's fried pies were a hit at our table. Overall, it was worth a 3 hour ride for us. Would come back again in a heartbeat

My family enjoyed catfish a lot. I am not a fish eater, so I had chicken strips, and they were very good as well. The portions are great. Our waitress was very sweet and always on top of things. The building is quaint, and the views are beautiful. I highly recommend it.

Awesome Family run Business! Have been going since I was a young girl. Two generations of my family enjoying this place for years! We love it and will go as long as we can and they're open serving up the best Catfish in Oklahoma!

Most outstanding catfish ever, great staff and the canned green tomatoes were next worldly yummmmmm
