I wish I got more pictures. I was so mesmerized with the old building. The caretakers have added some items for decorations or effects. Like the jail cell was brought in from an outside facility. I would recommend checking the hospital out. We got to enjoy it with an overnight paranormal investigating tour group. We didn't experience any physical contact but did have some eerie moments.

It was an amazing experience! I drove out to Yorktown to experience firsthand the Memorial Hospital. It did not disappoint. The tour was great, and we took our time looking at every room. Some of the highlights are the chapel, the kitchen and the basement! Sadly the building is in poor shape, so who knows how much longer it will be available for tours. I encourage everyone to experience this place, you won’t regret it!

Eddie is a fantastic tour guide! We had so much fun and can't wait to come back. One of the people with me felt nauseated while in the basement but fine everywhere else, and two people felt like they were being pulled. I loved hearing the history of the hospital and getting to look around on our own for a while. There is something about an abandoned building that is just so beautiful.

Nice drive out to the hospital from San Antonio. Really intriguing place, and A LOT of history to go with it!! Our guide Eddie was very informative, great sense of humor, and showed us all around this historic hospital while filling us in on some really interesting stories from within the hospital walls. We went to the Yorktown cemetery after and carried on with our evening hunts. We recommend this tour. Lots of energy, we will be back for more investigations 👻 Thank you Stephanie and Eddie for a very memorable visit!!

Genuinely a great experience. Went here for abandoned photography purposes but overall had a great time hearing all of the history attached to this site.

I would suggest bringing masks for any mold/ dust & asbestos & be cautious of the collapsed roof & bowing wall. But overall you'll be fine & it was a fun experience!

Fun place to start paranormal investigating. We got some good readings on the EMF. Still going through the footage and EVP sessions. Bathroom door on first floor opened on its own 3 times. It rained the entire night so we are going back when the weather is better because it was really loud. The building has been abandoned a while and there are roof leaks and structural damage so it was really wet. The caretakers are very nice and accommodating. Definitely going again

I had an amazing time photographing this place with friends. It's creepy whether you believe in the supernatural or not. But lots of fun. Big thanks to owners Stephanie and Eddie who are amazing!

Henry was such an amazing tour guide for both Saturday and Tuesday night! He was able to show us around the hospital, and we were able to also experience a lot of paranormal activities! Honestly he made both tours a night to remember and I hope that on the next time that the hospital opens he is there to guide us and make the journey so fun! Thank you Henry for the crazy, and unforgettable memories that you have made with me during both tours! <3

This place is spooky and abandoned! You and your friends can explore the haunted like structure alone after a short guided tour. After they gave us the rundown they gave us flashlights and turned us lose to have fun! If you like spooky scary places and don’t feel like trespassing this is the perfect spot to explore.

Eddie our tour guide was great! The place had a very foreboding atmosphere, and it served as a perfect setting for the overcast weather outside. I felt a very strange force within the laundry area, I really cannot explain it. A lot the furnishings are still intact, and the Chapel was my favorite part of the hospital. My wife and I loved it, we shall return.

This place seems to be the real deal! We did an overnight investigation. I will say we did document a few different occurrences. The hot spots for us were the chapel and the children's wing.

I heard that folks’ who come out here sometimes see shadow figures, hear disembodied moans and screams, some see a black figure with glowing red eyes while others see and hear talking dolls - I would DIE on the spot if a creepy little doll started talking to me - in fact, our tour guide’s wife, who used to do the tours herself, refuses to enter the building after apparently being possessed by a demon that supposedly lives in the chapel(!) - I really don’t believe in any of this stuff (but I do enjoy it), but then again, over the course of one hour I did hear strange whispers in an empty hallway in the basement and left with a child’s chalky handprint on my butt that freaked everyone out and made me think of the ol’ ghost tracks (in San Antonio), I also had a weird scratch on my arm and developed a bunch of super itchy bumps on my hand - my girlfriend (who does believe this stuff) caught some weird things in her photos and had goosebumps the whole time - this place is creepy as heck and I wouldn’t spend the night here for anything less than 100K!

This place was phenomenal. We drove from Sweetwater, Tx, about 6 hours, because my mom and I have strange hobbies and this is how she wanted to spend her birthday! It was absolutely worth it.

Eddie was a fantastic tour guide. He really delved into the history and could tell you about almost anything in any given room, the people who were in it, etc. My only complaint is that he seems to enjoy suddenly smacking things or yelling to frighten you even worse! And I hate to admit, but it was very effective! On top of focusing on the history, he also told us about paranormal activity and showed us where it happened, including showing us photos he'd received.

The tour was very interesting. The hospital is split up into multiple sections. The basement, which includes the priests quarters, maintenance rooms, laundry rooms, etc. The ground floor, including the pediatric/labor and delivery wing, the chapel, the offices, the adult wing, the kitchen, the ER, and the chapel. And the second floor, including the nuns quarters, a classroom for the children, an isolation room, etc. Every room felt different. It's hard to explain how overwhelmingly oppressive this place is. No matter where you are, you constantly feel like you're being watched.

I didn't know about the tattoo thing before I visited. Apparently it's common for people with tattoos to be targeted by the spirits, especially in the chapel. My mom has 5 tattoos and I have 13, all of which were visible. Luckily, neither of us were shoved to the ground or scratched, which seems to be a common occurrence. Though, in the basement, something did suddenly grab my shirt and yank on it. We were in the room where the double murder/suicide took place, and Eddie was explaining the murder and showing us the bloodstains when it happened. Spooked me half to death, to say the least! Other than that and the oppressive feeling, we didn't get too much activity, which we were actually grateful for considering how spooked we already were. I did get a few good photos. In one, at first it looks all the world like a woman in a doorway, but is actually just a rusted cabinet. In another, I took 2 photos in the same spot. In one there's nothing in the hallway, but in the second there looks like a foot and a leg running away from us. It's strange.

Overall, this hospital is a paranormal hotspot with a phenomenal tour guide and an intense and interesting history. I absolutely recommend it for lovers of history and the paranormal alike!

The guide Eddie and his wife is supper nice. It is 100% haunted and even if it wasn’t it is still super cool. I got a few weird pictures and some stuff on my kll/EMF meter at 114, Sister Mary Ellen’s room, and the operating room were I talked to a priest that committed suicide, the dowsing rods were moving a little bit and my flashlight was flickering in the basement. I heard also taps metal on the stairwell leading to the third floor and plastic taps on the stairwell leading to the basement. I got bad vibes in the room were there was a ritual and the room with the homeless person.

That is an incredible building with just the right amount of decay. So much of it is still intact! Eddie was a fantastic tour guide as well.

Great, old, creepy haunted hospital! Did the overnight hunt with Haunted Rooms America and it was amazing. I've been ghost hunting for many years and this place is up there on my list of very haunted places!

Great experience!
Tour guide, I think his name is Eddie,
Was awesome. Quite a character and a great story teller full of information about the history and paranormal experience.
After the tour we, my son and I, got to be alone in the building for about 20 minutes. I didn't need more time that, I was spooked out enough. I constantly felt someone/ something behind me the whole time. My son thought he heard a child's voice, as well.
Had an awesome time.
Highly recommend this place!
