Hartz Chicken Buffet

I usually stop here for my gizards, because I'm the only one in my family that likes them. Today I went and I asked to have them not so hot and that they can probably just get them off of the buffet. The lady checking me out said no ma'am, we will make them fresh for you. I really appreciate her kindness and wanting to make my food fresh. See you next time I'm in Wharton for my gizzard fix.

Best homecooking I've had in a minute with the cheesiest macaroni, sweet carrots, spicy cabbage(for me at least) and crunchy chicken!!! Definitely making this spot one of my frequent stops. I purchased the buffet and sampled a bit of everything and LOVED IT ALL! Area was clean and staff was friendly in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend ❤

I was passing through Wharton and decided to stop by and order through the drive thru. This was on Thursday afternoon. The employee a young man who took our order was very kind. I ordered a couple of things that they didn't have that day, but he was polite and apologetic about it. He did his best on finding other items on the menu to replace them. Which was great. The wait wasn't long given our large order and the food was so damn delicious, I mean the chicken was crunchy, juicy and the sides were amazing. I totally recommend this restaurant, great customer service and delicious foods.

Chicken cooked to perfection. Light fluffy rolls, creamy mashed potatoes & coleslaw were amazing. Chicken is the #8 best I've ever eaten. I'm from the south & we really know fried chicken. The rolls were the kind that you just can't get enough of. I give this place 5 stars. Service was quick & friendly.

You definitely need to try this place. I love guissards and these are clean and tender and crispy. The fried chicken is great! I have tried others Hartz, but this one is my best choice. Glad I have one close to home. Keep up the great cooking.

Gizzards are the best, so are the chicken tenders. Great food at a great price

Their restroom was clean.
The employee that served me was super helpful.

Purchased the senior buffet that comes with a drink for $9.41 which includes tax. Ate fish, chicken, a wonderful hot roll, and a few bites of cabbage, turnip greens, Cole slaw, pinto beans, Mac and cheese and corn. They have good tea so I am a happy camper.

Food temperature was nice and hot. Plenty of variety of meat, veggies, starches and salads. Employees are friendly and the place is cleaned often

The dining room has been well used over the years. It could use some love. The food was very good. Will be going back.

Service was wonderful. The food was excellent. Just passing through on our way to corpus and had never seen this place. We'll definitely come back.

Lunch Buffet well stocked

There is a sign saying, NO SHARING. Well there was 2 couples sharing and I complaint but nothing was done. This happened at lunch rush. A bunch of people with kids came in. My husband and I pay why should they allow other couples to share. They need to take the sign off. These people looked like they were from around there. We stop on the way to Houston. We always stop there.

Cashier was super sweet. Food on the buffet was fresh.

The Hartz buffet $10:00 all you can. Really good. The food hot freshly cooked. Every thing on point.
