Austin Boardwalk

My favorite place to go for my walks and runs. It’s beautiful and has the best view of Austin. Perfect for runs, walks, date night, pictures, etc… parking is easy too.

great place to exercise, watch cityscape, bird photography, and people watching. I was pleasantly surprised with different birds I saw here, this place seems rich in biodiversity. The most popular section of boardwalk is 3 miles long and there are plenty of places to rest/stop along the way.

Best place to visit mostly at the time of sunset. If you want beautiful pictures of yours with your loved one’s do Visit this Hollywood movie scene place. Beautiful 😍

One of my most favorite places to jog in Austin. Beautiful views of the lake and the skyline. Clean trail. Water fountains along the way. There are several entry spots along Lakeshore Drive which you can enter. Also along the trail there are a couple of places you can rent kayaks if you wish. Plenty of turtles to see along the hike. Highly recommend.

Definitely my favorite place in Austin, it has great scenic views, This trail, the view, the lake, this place right here made me fall in love with Austin. It is a must see. Runs from East to West. A never ending trail or so it seems. Fairly easy walk on the boardwalk or smooth paths, mostly large enough for runners and bicyclists to pass by.

The boardwalk probably has the best views of downtown Austin. You can walk, bike or jog the boardwalk. It’s well lid at night and feels safe. There are benches and viewing points all across the boardwalk. It’s a must destination if you visit Austin!

Note that e-scooters are not allowed and will not run on the trail.

Scenic walkway along the lake. Beautiful views of the city. Wide enough for bikes, walkers and joggers.

Parking spots are plenty along the way.

I did not see any restrooms in the sections we explored.

Austin has one of the best running/biking trails, amazing views, scenery and almost unlimited miles that you can explore. A lot of the areas are shaded so you are no gonna suffer much with the sun and heat. #GoOutside and explore Austin trails.

Absolutely love this project. The city did a great service to it's citizens and implemented the end product in an architecturally interesting and unique way (as one might suspect). The additional incorporation of embedded lighting/illumination is both a practical plus as well as a genuine nighttime beautifier.

Great addition to the trail, allows acess east of the statesman building. Beautiful, great views of the downtown. In the morning you may see birds and turtles. Great as part of a trip around the lake or just a visit on own.

Absolutely beautiful place. The trail can be a bit crowded on the weekends, but it’s a great place to check out if you live here or if you’re visiting. Great views of the city and a great Austin experience!

A beautiful place to walk along the water with your family and dog. There are many little parks along the way and beautiful Austin skyline views the whole time.

Always a great place to log miles. Beautiful views and weather! Be aware that it can get pretty congested at peak times, after 4pm on weekdays and after 9am on weekends. Most people and animals are pretty courteous so that helps. Hope you enjoy it!

Very nice for a walk or run.

Most locals enjoy running and biking thought the boardwalk trail. The views of the city are beautiful from here. Definitely a must stop for tourists! The only issue may be finding a good place to park. Note: For some reason electric scooters are not allowed.
