Why Hillcrest? We visited Hillcrest and was drawn to the family atmosphere and how the pastor of this "big" church stood at the door or in the lobby and shook a hand or gave a hug. As a believer we are to be a family, a body of Christ. The "Church" is "US" not the building, I have truly never felt more Welcome than I did and still do at Hillcrest. The Hillcrest family believes in the power of Prayer and when I say we believe in Prayer, we pray!!! "Pray without ceasing". If you're new to the area, or are just passing through, come be a part of our family for this season. It will, change your life.

The five stars, are for the majestic church's steeple. When you look at the picture, I took of Hillcrest Baptist church. You will understand the reason for the five stars. The sky was dark, as I was driving pass this church. And the first thing that I noticed was the beautiful steeple. Its light illuminated the sky around it. I could feel the love of Christ, with this Beacon.

I love this church! I will never forget the first time I attended. Everyone that I encountered welcomed ​me and made me feel like I was important. All of a sudden that big church became small. Everyone was so friendly. It didn't take me long to decide that I wanted Hillcrest to be my home church and not once have I regretted that decision.If you need to feel loved, visit Hillcrest Baptist Church. I remember walking in Hillcrest Baptist church for the first time and thinking what a large church. Coming from a small church, it seems a little overwhelming at first, but then I realized that the church had a lot of small groups. This is where I started learning about God's plans for me. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." This was so far from any spiritual gift I had, but by going to Hillcrest and attending Life Group and other events, God revealed that he would help me learn how to go and make disciples. So Hillcrest is where I really learned how to put God first place in my life and help others do the same. They have a lot of great ministries including Worship, LifeGroup, Missions, Student, Children, Senior adults, Youth, Home bound, and a great Counseling ministry for any subject that you need help in and it is FREE to all. You can go to any church and check the box or you can go and let the Holy Spirit do a work in you. Hillcrest may seem big at first, but they also have big resources to help you get to where God wants you to be.

Yes, it's a large church and a large membership, but it's really just a huge family, my family... worshiping, learning and reaching out to the community and the world together. Come join us!
