Amy’s Downtown Diner

Amy's Downtown Diner, is a wonderful place where the locals eat. While passing through Perry, we decided to try Amy's because of the good reviews.
Our Omelets were very good, the Home Fries were prepared perfectly & I just had to try a half order of the homemade Biscuits & Sausage Gravy. Everything was delicious!!
Our wonderful server was Taylor. She was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. She took care of our every need, as well as the tables of other customers she was serving.
Highly recommend Amy's!!

Popped in here for a late breakfast, friendly staff, got everything right. Neat old main street feel, food was great, server was perfect, air temp was a little chilly. Stop in and have a bite, I know I'll be back. Also, the price was fair for the quality and quantity of food.

Every time we get food whether it's an amazing breakfast or an awesome lunch this place packs a punch. Next time you are in Perry looking for a place to eat don't forget Amy's Downtown Diner right on Main Street.

Best ever Diner a mile off of 69. Homemade soups, and bread for sandwiches. Had chicken gnocchi soup tastes like roasted chicken fresh cut veg. Tuna melt was good too.

Amazing food with a hometown vibe. Highly recommend the sourdough and all breakfast items are incredible. I've never seen my niece eat her whole plate! Pictured here: delicious stuffed biscuits and gravy.

This is a great little unsuspecting diner. I stopped here on a whim while driving through Perry and I'm glad I did. The breakfast portions are massive, especially the biscuits and gravy. I will try to stop whenever I am visiting the area.

This place is amazing! The people that runs the place and work there are great! Always welcoming, smiling and really attentive! The food is awesome! It is a great place overall!

Go Big or Go Home.... This gem of a restaurant is by far one of the better places for breakfast and definitely at the top in Shiawassee County!

For those traveling down I-69, it’s just a hop and a skip from the freeway and will have you coming back for more. The place is small and intimate, with very attentive wait staff so if you have to wait for a table it’s well worth it.

My order consisted of a vegetarian omelette, home fries and rye toast. The omelette was made with 3 eggs, fresh onions, green pepper, mushrooms and cheese. The home fries were soft and warm in the middle, with a nice crunch on the outside. The toast was good enough, that I picked up a loaf of the bread to go.

While Perry/Shiawassee County may not have a lot of options when it comes to sit down diners, this is a place to visit.

Nice little diner. I had 2 eggs, American fries and toast. My guest had one of the breakfast bowls with rye toast. Both meals where good and we left full. I like that there is paper towels at the booth!

My best friend and I try and meet here once a month for breakfast and we've always loved our food and service. We met the owner awhile back and we can see exactly why Amy's is so great.

I wanted to try a new place in Perry and as I was driving down the main street, a sign caught my eye. I turned around and went back and sure enough, it was a little restaurant ( cafe?) Tucked away. I saw it was open so I thought I would try it. The name of the cafe is " Amys place". It was pretty full in there ! They were doing good business on a Sunday. People came in and had to leave because every seat was taken.
I had a coney dog. It was quite good ! My waitresse's name was Taylor. She was all by herself. She did a very good job for being the only waitress. I will visit there again !
I want to apologize. I called it Amys place when actually its called " Amys Downtown Diner". So it's called a diner, not a cafe or restaurant. Sorry about that.
I also had a chili cheese dog not a coney. I apologize again for the screw up.

A hidden gem in Perry! Lovely restaurant, prices and portions were excellent! Not sure why we didn't stop in sooner!! We are now weekly guests!!

What a great find! My wife and I were both very pleased with the delicious food, attentive service, and reasonble prices. Great selection of comfort food. Owner came out to chat with us. We will be back. Definitely worth the drive from Holt to eat there again.

Cute little diner in the small town of Perry (East of Lansing & just south of I69). They happily took my order and my Sally Albright (Meg Ryan's character in When Harry Met Sally) level requests. Food was good and prices reasonable.

Foods great every time we come in. If they have specials you can fine them online before you go in. Pricing and portions good. Make sure you get the Jam for your toast, delicious. Always fast and friendly service.
