I'll start off with the most important part. I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH MY KEEWANAW SAUNA! Red and his crew were great to work with. I knew going in that this wouldn't be a quick turnaround. I ordered my 6x8 sauna back in March and it was delivered in the 3rd week of October, but again, I knew it would take a while. When I ordered it, I was told they were backed up and I might not get it until the fall. So I left them alone and waited. Red has a small crew and his saunas are in big demand. Each one is made to order, so yes, you'll wait. But it's worth it.

As I prepared my sauna area at my home, I sometimes had questions about dimensions and such. EVERY TIME I called or emailed, they ALWAYS answered or got back to me within a day. EVERYTIME.

His delivery crew was great and they kept me informed of their arrival time and showed up when they said they would. Even though getting the sauna to my preferred place was a bit of a challenge, they were great and friendly and professional.

My sauna looks amazing, works like a champ and I would do it all over again. Order from Red, be patient and you will be so happy.

Wow! Top notch! Tammy and Red were amazing to deal with and produce a lovingly hand crafted barrel sauna. I love that I’m supporting a local business. The red cedar smells great from inside. We bought this for the many health benefits of a wood burning sauna and the relaxation factor. Ben and Chloe delivered the sauna right on time with great communication and put it in the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

My Sauna turned out amazing!, I ordered the 7x14 and couldn't be more happy, they exceeded my expectations and i would highly recommend them. I absolutely love my new Sauna!

We received our sauna on July 23, 2021. We’ve been using it 2-3 times a week since and are loving it so far. We ordered our sauna in early April 2021, with an estimated delivery of August 2021 (or possibly by the 4th of July). Red told my husband to call mid-summer to check the status. After reading reviews about a lack of communication, we remained diligent with calling starting at the end of June. We called weekly for about a month and Red was always friendly and kind. If it wasn’t ready, he always recommended calling back or texting to check where they were at with the status of our sauna. If he didn’t pick up when I called, he always called me back. We never had issues with lack of communication. He gave us updates each time we would call and by July 23, it was delivered. The sauna was delivered by one of Red’s staff members and my husband was really impressed with his knowledge of the product. My only critique would be that there was a lot of saw dust under all of the benches in the changing room and sauna area that could have been swept or vacuumed before delivering the finished product. Not a huge deal but just something I noticed. So…after owning this sauna for almost 2 months, we are very happy with this purchase and really excited to continue using it during the upcoming winter months. To anyone interested in buying one, just try to be patient with the wait time and know that it’s a good idea to stay in contact with Red prior to your expected delivery time. It’s definitely worth the wait!

Happy? That is an understatement.

Red and Tammy fulfilled a promise to make something right, and it is exceptional. We had a couple of issues and through their hard work they were resolved in a way that was beyond our expectations.

We had our sauna delivered to us in December 2019 and we waited to post anything about it until everything was just so. In a world filled with 2 day shipping, on demand entertainment, and non-stop communications folks often forget what is important. Being kind to each other and waiting for everything to be resolved worked out to everyone's benefit.

Sometimes a sauna can provide a life lesson. If you are considering purchasing one this is THE company to patronize.

I waited almost half a year before submitting my review as any faults tend to flesh out over time. I'm sure I've had 50 firings in the sauna so far and it is extremely heavily used. So far, I've found the sauna to be well-made and is handling the extreme use very well. Looking back at the building and delivery process, I am very comfortable in saying that Red and his crew were very focused on providing me a high level of product and service. Many other reviewers complained about the lack of customer service and availability, but I accept the customer challenges of small businesses in having strong customer support as the owner isn't always available for contact. I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing another similar sauna from them in the future.

We bought our sauna a couple years ago and we love it! They delivered it to our cabin in Northern MN and everyone whose used it raves about how great it is! I’m surprised at the negative reviews, we have nothing but great things to say about the customer service and craftsmanship!

Their communication is ok.. their delivery date was off by about 2 months, but I expected that The sauna itself is great... absolutely wonderful Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about refunds, no shows...

I could not be happier with the sauna and the folks here. It is very well made and works so well. Their communication was excellent. My only regret is not doing this sooner!

Wonderful product

Do your research, and look at all options before ordering or purchasing your sauna. Unfortunately I cannot attach photos.

-Did the sauna meet my expectations? NO

-Am I happy to have a sauna at my house? Yes

-Would I recommend or buy another Keweenaw Sauna? NO, unless things changed drastically.

-Sauna was delivered several months later than originally planned. They even told us multiple times that it would be delivered soon with no follow up.

-Several flaws in the sauna: the seal around the windows melted from steam, there are large blemishes inside the sauna(complete eyesores), door DOES NOT CLOSE!

-Poor communication. They will not answer my calls or reply to the several emails and Facebook messages I have sent.

Bought sauna in 2018, have had problems with board's buckling in. Back wall of sauna the center boards right behind the stove pipe is buckling in and starting to separate. Have called Red and Tammy hundreds of times, they will not answer the phone or call me back. Terrible customer service. Don Minkin
Over 5 years since I purchased this sauna ,still red and Tammy have not come and repaired the sauna. Very poor people to work with. Stay away from this company.

Update: Still no refund. Red called me threatening me with his lawyer for posting my experience on Facebook. Nothing came of it. I later tagged them in a post alerting the public that I still had not received a refund to which they replied, check your account, we refunded you. They did not. Still waiting..... I'm filing a complaint with the State of Michigan under the Consumer Protection Act.
I ordered my sauna at the end of September and was told my sauna would be delivered around Nov 15. Give or take. Tammy readily took my $500 deposit. The sauna never showed up. After months of delays and trying to get a delivery date, I cancelled my sauna order at the end of January. Feb 6 Tammy emailed me that she had my check and would send it out. Two weeks later I still did not have a check. So I again emailed Tammy and on Feb 21 she said she would mail it out. March 1st I still do not have a check.
There were multiple emails, always initiated by me as their communication is horrible, in regards to my sauna. Always different reasons as to why my sauna was not ready. All I wanted was a delivery date. At one point she said it was on a truck with another sauna to be delivered and she would know by the end of next week when it was coming. Two weeks later, still nothing. I am happy to share all of our email correspondences to anyone looking to buy from this company.
Please do yourself a favor and save some money and use another company. You might actually get your sauna.
Update: It is now April 12 and I still have not received a refund of my deposit. Tammy and Red still owe me $500 and he actually called to threaten me with his lawyer. Do your research before purchasing a sauna. I’m going to file a complaint with the state of Michigan under the Consumer Protection Act. I encourage anyone else out moment to do the same.

Terrible service . They fixed it once and did the same thing again . 2 boards twisted and threw the whole sauna out of wack. They have been promising me since before Covid they would fix it and it’s still not fixed. Lawyers next move, I’m done playing around.
