Hereford & Hops Steak House And Brewpub

Had the Perch fish fry Friday night and Saturday had the broiled shrimp 🦐🍤 dinner. AWESOME!!!!!
On 1-27-24 stopped again for an evening meal. Had the 8oz Tenderloin and Shrimp. AWESOME...

Would stop again. They have a good selection of brews to try and the food is excellent. I tried the shrimp po boy and it was amazing. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

We stopped by for lunch and ordered a burger and their build it yourself Mongolian Bbq.
It was SO tasty and the price was amazing.
The friendly waitress suggested their root beer. It's a must have if you like root beer!
The onion rings were crisp and the red ale tasty!
We walked away very full and happy with finding this little pub! We hope to visit again!!

Honestly, we were a little concerned when we walked in. The place could use a little general maintenance. However, the food was excellent! Everything from start to finish was delicious and served piping hot. The beer was also interesting and delightful. Service was very good! And the staff was friendly! Don't be scared off by the accommodations, the food is great

Love Hereford & Hops!! Always make sure to stop when I’m in town. They have great French onion & beer cheese soup! Our server David was awesome! Very friendly and attentive

Had the Mongolian stir fry. All fresh ingredients and large selection of what proteins you want. They stir fry exactly what you choose and bring it to your table. Great taste, price, and always kind workers there. We love this place, whether it's for grill your own steak or the Mongolian grill. We will return.

Great place. Great beer choices, I had white Walker please ale (pictured). Very good. The Irish nachos and the poutine were both amazing. Great party going on here tonight.

So much to love, unique old world charm. Pub in the front with big screen T.V. and pool table also offers outdoor seating. In the back elegant fine dining with soft piano music playing, Mongolian grill is offered as well if you choose to partake or order from the vast professional chefs menu. Food was amazing and the wait staff was the best I've encountered in a very long time.

Our family ate here tonight and our waitress Jayme was so wonderful- knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and all around friendly and professional. She made our experience great! We chose to have dinner outside in their patio area and it was perfect. We also loved that there was a sirloin available on the kids menu so our oldest could feel like he was getting a fancy meal along with us (:

H & H is a great place to eat! My server Jaymelee was prompt, polite, & perfect! The staff was A-1! Management was great & the food was cooked just how I like it. Then to top it off the restaurant was clean & the atmosphere & ambience gave me a feeling of sheer happiness ☺ 🔥 👍

This place was a great treat. The staff members were quite courteous and came to check on us frequently. We did the "Cook Your Own Steak" option and it was very enjoyable and easy. Definitely worth the stop if you are looking for a good steak dinner in Escanaba!

Stopped in for lunch while passing through town and was very impressed. Home-brewed beers were solid with good flavor and a clean finish. The steak and cheese wrap really hit the spot. There are healthier options but this is definitely a place to with a big appetite for comfort food. There was a Mongolian grill option with made-to-order main dishes that looked interesting as well. Good portions for the price too. Easy to see why this place has been around for a while.

We sat at the bar and had a great experience. Jess was awesome...great recommendations for food and gave great service. I had the walleye dinner, awesome and my husband had the perch dinner, which he said was tasty. Thank you for a great UP brewery experience!

The service is excellent! I really loved the gluten free pizza. We tried the ribs, gluten free pizza and the bone in wings and everything was excellent! The cocktails were a delight

Loved everything about this place! Our server, Jen, was on point! We ordered appetizers (definitely recommend the cheese curds), and a variety of main dishes from the reuben sandwich to steak, all were terrific! Thank you for an amazing experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They offer outdoor seating that is pet friendly and bring dish of water for your pet. All sauces and dressings are made in house as well as craft beers on tap and root beer made by hand in their brewery, located behind the pub. All meats are all butchered, prepared, smoked, and cooked in house. Offer an array of menu options with mostly fresh and local products, including meat, pasta noodles, breads, wines, and spirits. A Mongolian grill, a full bar, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff.

Wonderful food. A little more expensive than what some may be used to, but you're paying for the high quality. The food is always great, though I go here more often for the drinks. Bar staff and wait staff are always friendly to me.

Service was extremely slow. We had a big party and we ate in the main dining room back in the VIP area. Our group is made up of Ford Raptor enthusiasts and we travel all over MI and WI. A few in our group grilled, the rest had the kitchen grill our steaks. Those that did it themselves were done eating when we got our food. Despite the extremely slow service, our server Dave was excellent. I felt so bad for the young guy. He kept our drinks full and smiles on our faces despite it all. Made us feel welcome and comfortable. Once we did get to eat, the steaks were top notch. Maybe more kitchen help or better management. Kudos to Dave and the other staff running around trying to accommodate guests on such a busy night. We will give Hereford and Hops another shot next year. I have to come back to try the beer they brew in house anyway!

Delicious beer and food, competent and friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere with tons of historical photos on the walls. Kristin was a wonderful server who took great care of us. Using our Hop Passport was very easy. Highly recommend!

Good day! As i am a sailor and had very short time to to stay there, unfortunately did’t try Your good steak. Agree - big mistake, soon will be fixed! But it was bad g pleasure to have such a beautiful an kind bar tender to help us!!! Nice!!! Good place, tasty beer, not far away from dock, what was good for me! Kind people around, so all perfect, see it soon
