I called to ask about a product that I had hoped they carried. The phone was answered quickly. Extremely polite and honest. They carried the product that I was inquiring about. The gentleman that I talked with explained to me how it worked and instead of letting me spend the money for it, he said it wouldn’t work for what I thought.
Mel’s is probably the best feed, and yard around and would knock any others outta business. Best propane price too.

Great store with old world feel. Fantastic selection of feed. I'm not a bee keeper, but they carry equipment for that. Huge selection of pet supplies. Boots and knives. Wonderful selection of gardening equipment and lovely vegetable seeds. Beautiful wood flooring. Friendly and helpful staff. You can't go wrong here.

Best lawn and feed store in the u.p!! Glen is awesome to his customers, so is the rest of the staff. Have everything from muck boots to dog food to fertilizers and much much more. Only place ill shop for boots!

Shop local! I like the friendly service and fair prices. The loading dock crew will carry your heavy purchases to your vehicle. Mel's is the best place to buy your feed and seed!

Grabbed a couple good pairs of boots. Staff was nice and worked with me to find the right fit for me. The also fill most of my propane tanks during camping season.
