LOVE this sweet spot! Food is SOOOOOO fresh and tasty, service outstanding and parking easy. We stop here every time we travel through Escanaba.

Very nice welcome greeting, diverse menu, fast service. The waitress must have heard me talking about sharing the sandwiches because it was served already separate. Nice touch.

Wow, super good food! While driving through to Mackinac Island, we went out of our way to this restaurant. We wanted good yet healthy food, and because of how people have raved about the food we went. My husband and I loved how the food looked and tasted, so delicious! I had an awesome chicken salad with the BEST butternut squash soup I’ve ever had in my life. My husband had a Cuban sandwich and their other delicious soup. He couldn’t stop raving about his food either. I took another Butternut Squash soup to go. I can’t wait to visit Applewood Eatery again!! Awesome service too!

Great atmosphere and wonderful food... Beautiful stamped steel ceilings and brick walls. Friendly upbeat staff ...and excellent coffee and sandwiches. VERY fair prices. Best pulled pork sandwich I've had in the UP! Taking out the creme brulee for desert at home. Will definitely come again.

The husband and I discovered this cafe driving through downtown. The food, drinks, customer service was exceptional! The Pomodoro sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. Omelets are all fresh ingredients. Husband loved it. Their Peach Bellini and Bloody Mary’s are top notch. Cafe very clean and quaint. So happy we stopped in. They have coffees too!

If you are ever in Escanaba you need to stop here. Excellent sandwiches & the house brew coffee was outstanding. Incredibly clean. The staff & owner were great. Help them keep the business open.

I will come back again once I am back to Escanaba. As I came from Florida to visit family. I had the Applewood Grilled cheese for lunch and it was great. I was promptly greeted and waited on by Crissie, she is a rockstar at the restaraunt. It only took a few minutes to get everything. Thanks, definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed this place! We were having lunch, didn't realize the closing time was so early, and it ran over their closing time. They didn't even rush us out, but let us finish.

Love this place! Food is wonderful great menu and lots of options for everyone! Staff is happy and friendly and atmosphere feels like we are in a big city. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free friendly. They are very accommodating to everyone. Love it!

There isn’t much breakfast on the menu but that was just fine because a breakfast bagel sandwich was and the coffee was delicious. Be sure to get the mocha as it was topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Yumm!

What an unexpected treat! We were driving through Escanaba on our way home from a camping trip in Mackinac... After campfire and greasy diner eating all weekend we were looking forward to something fresh and a bit healthier. Find this place on Google and what a find!!! I had the soup of the day which was a tomato basil and my husband and I split the Monte melt. Soup was piping hot, fresh and full of flavor and herbs. The beautifully pressed sandwich was made on delicious sliced bread, used good quality Swiss cheese and fresh sliced turkey meat. We had the apple butter and chutney on the side...I added that to my sandwich and it was delicious! So pleasantly surprised by this little gem.

Great place! We often stop for breakfast. I haven't tried the carrot cake but heard it was awesome. The California baby! is my favorite. Great coffee and fast, friendly service.

Every piecs of this place is amazing. Great little diner, awesome food. We decided on coffees as well and do not regret it. First time here, but we will definitely be back here! Highly recommend! Try the Monte Melt!

Cute, quaint, clean eatery with great customer service! The bagel sandwiches were huge and flavorful, and their house-made chai and iced coffees were perfect! Next time we are in Escanaba we will definitely stop by.

This is a great place! Nice atmosphere, and great food as well. As a vegetarian, I don't have too many options, but the ones I do have are extremely tasty. The people are friendly and it's overall a good place to relax and have lunch.
