Beautiful mountain biking trail, very challenging and demanding, we really enjoyed iour ride not suited for new riders.
I would enjoy hiking the trail just as much great trail!

Great place to start and see the NCT. Hills and great views of the surrounding landscape. Rustic camping and the great Manistee River.

Beautiful area. Great camping spots along the Manistee River trail side. I will definitely be back.

Trailhead bathrooms are the best. Sometimes a bit to many people for my comfort and so I choose to hike somewhere else being a solo girl. However 95% of the time a great, friendly, safe trail head.

The NCT trail is so much more challenging than the MRT trail. Water is not available on the NCT side, so plan appropriately. Water is sporadically available on the MRT side at little, flowing creeks. All water just be filtered, except for the running water at Red Bridge. Great hike and will do it again!

This trail has many options. If you run or ride, plenty of trail. Moderate to advance MTB rider.
