Kay B. Christensen, DDS, PC

I've been going to the Christensens for a few years and I've had nothing but good experiences. They're both wonderful people, very friendly and gentle. Kay knows that I like to know what's going on in my mouth, so he always explains to me what he's doing while poking around in there.

We love going to Dr. Christensen. He is very gentle while working and very thorough. Also, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. I have a big family with a variety of dental concerns and Dr. Christensen has always done a great job of treating and advising us.

Great Dentist! I have been going here for about 7 years with no issues. Not a big dental operation with multiple staff. Just Dr. Christensen and his wife assisting him and setting up appointments. Literally a small Ma and Pop dental operation and they do great work.

I had heard great things about this dentist. I took my two little ones to them. They each had a broken tooth and needed some fillings. Dr Christensen started drilling and “fixing” their teeth with no X-rays before hand. When I asked them why the said “We do not do X-rays on children.”
Within two weeks my daughters entire left side of her face swelled up. Dr Christensen would not answer a phone but would text me (this was on a Friday, their office was closed. So I am thankful they at leased listened to my VM and Text me.) . They said they would get her in first thing that week, called in a prescription. I never heard from them. So I called and text that number. Finally the NEXT Thursday they called and “forgot” but would get her in the following week and actually made an appointment. When I asked AGAIN why no X-rays all the wife would respond was “we will make a note in her file”
Fast forward 2 more weeks. We arrive to my daughters 3rd appointment, they had planned to fix this problem tooth. Gums still inflamed, Dr Christensen was going to do a root canal, but was worried it was still infected after THREE antibiotics. I asked them if we could just pull the tooth and put a spacer.. Him and his wife both agreed that was a better option than they had planned.
After they couldn’t pull the tooth, they had referred us to a different dentist that could actually help. Talking with the new Dentist, I was told if Dr Christensen would have taken X Rays we wouldn’t be in this situation.
New dentist has had to fix all my daughters teeth Christensen had fix a month Prior.

I understand things happen, and that this could have been an honest mistake. BUT within this last week, my son is now going through the exact same thing (face swollen and infection) with the tooth Christensen fixed on him as well… which comes down to them not doing X-rays…

They have had no remorse for the pain and trouble they have caused my children. Still are not taking any responsibility, and holding strong that they don’t XRay children.

Worst dentist iv ever been to.. Pulled a tooth that didn't need pulled.. 2 hours for a cleaning an extraction?! Broke the tooth root off, dug in my gums for 20 min to get the root.. 3 weeks of excruciating pain.. Mouth was full of infection.. They did not even sanitize the chair..Will never go back or refer anyone to him... When he was done, he stated that he should have given me a referal to a ortho surgeon??!!!
